Lemonescent
Lemonescent were a Scottish girl group formed in 2002. The band achieved success in their native Scotland, scoring five top twenty hits on the Scottish Singles Chart (two of which reached the top five) and also scored three top forty singles on the UK Singles Chart between 2002 and 2005. Despite some commercial success the group was subject to controversy in 2003, when one of their singles became ineligible to chart due to apparent bulk buying in an attempt to manipulate the charts. Their debut album also failed to chart in either the Scottish or UK Album charts and the group lineup changed several times before the band eventually disbanded in 2005. Unconditional Love (Lemonescent Album)
Unconditional Love is the debut and only album by Scottish girl group Lemonescent. Background The original working title of the album was "Manipulated" in early 2003 and a portion of the tracks had originally been recorded with original member Lisa Rose Harrison. The original versions appeared as sound clips on Lemonescent's website, but were taken down after Harrison's departure. The tracks were re-recorded with replacement members Leona Skimming and Emma Cassidy's vocals added, with the exception of "Swing My Hips (Sex Dance)", where the Terminalhead remix that appeared on the cd single in 2002 was used. The original Terminalhead remix of "Beautiful" from 2002 was also used on the album. Release Lemonescent undertook a signing campaign in HMV and Virgin stores in Scotland and England in the week of the album's release, but despite this campaign, the album sold poorly and failed to chart in the top 200 UK Album Chart. Hampden Park (Scottish Gaelic: ''Pàirc Hampden''), often referred to as Hampden, is a football stadium in the Mount Florida area of Glasgow, Scotland. The -capacity venue serves as the national stadium of football in Scotland. Balloch (; Scots pronunciation: ; Scottish Gaelic, Gaelic: ''Am Bealach'') is a village in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland, at the foot of Loch Lomond. Etymology Balloch comes from either the Gaelic word ''baile'' which means village or hamlet, or the Gaelic ''bealach'' meaning "a pass". ''The Voice UK'' is a British singing competition television series. Created by John de Mol, it premiered on BBC One during the spring television cycle on 24 March 2012. Based on the original ''The Voice of Holland'', and part of ''The Voice '' franchise, it has aired eleven series and aims to find currently unsigned singing talent (solo, duets, trios or professional and amateur) contested by aspiring singers, drawn from public auditions. The winners receive a recording contract with Universal Music Group. ''The Wizard of Oz'' is a 2011 musical based on the 1939 film of the same name in turn based on L Frank Baum’s novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, with a book adapted by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Jeremy Sams. The musical uses the Harold Arlen and E. Y. Harburg songs from the film and includes some new songs and additional music by Lloyd Webber and additional lyrics by Tim Rice. "All Right Now" is a song by English rock band Free. It originally appeared on the band's third album '' Fire and Water'' (1970), which Free recorded on the Island Records label, formed by Chris Blackwell. Released as the album's second single, "All Right Now" hit number 2 on the UK Singles Chart and number 4 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 singles chart. In July 1973, the song was re-released, reaching number 15 on the UK chart. In 1991, a Bob Clearmountain remix of the song was released, reaching number 8 on the UK chart.
