Leila Ben-Gacem
Leila Ben-Gacem ( ar, ليلى بن قاسم) is a Tunisian social entrepreneur. She is the founder of Blue Fish company and the initiator and founder of several initiatives in the Tunisian ecosystem and cultural scenes through Tunisian Civil Society. Ben-Gacem is also an elected member of the municipal council of Beni Khalled since Tunisia's first decentralized municipal elections were held in 2018. Biography Ben-Gacem studied biomedical engineering at Boston University. She worked in many companies such as IMM in Tunisia, Hewlett-Packard in Germany, Assada Medical in Libya. In 2006, she started the social enterprise Blue Fish to help Tunisian artisans, particularly women, to export their works and develop their businesses. In 2009, she initiated Sougha Est in the khalifa fund for enterprise development in Abu Dhabi in the UAE. Emna Mizouni ( ar, آمنة الميزوني; born 1987) is a Tunisian online and human rights activist, free-lance journalist, communications expert and business executive. After successfully helping to prepare RightsCon Tunis, in July 2019, Access Now, the international non-profit human rights group intent on an open Internet, announced her appointment to serve in their global board of directors. Nefta
Nefta (or Nafta; ) is a Tunisian municipality and an oasis in Tozeur Governorate north of the Chott el Djerid. Religious significance Nefta is considered by most Sufis to be the spiritual home of Sufism, a mystical branch of Islam; many religious buildings are located in the district El Bayadha. Nefta is a pilgrimage center to which pilgrims travel throughout the year. There is a Folk Festival in April and a Date Festival in November/December. Nefta is the religious center of the Bled el Djerid, the "Land of Palms", with more than 24 mosques and 100 marabouts.
