Leighton Bennett
Leighton Bennett (born 31 December 2005 in Lincoln, England) is an English professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation events. He won the final of the 2019 BDO World Youth Darts Championship. Career BDO In August 2018, Bennett won the Cambridgeshire Open, aged 12; in the semi-final, he beat Ricky Evans, before seeing off Rhys Hayden in the final. In October 2018, he booked his place in the final of the 2019 BDO World Youth Darts Championship. He beat Nathan Girvan 3–0 in the Final to become 2019 BDO World Youth Champion. In 2019, Bennett started competing on the men's BDO tour. He reached the Final of the Luxembourg Open and was also a Semi-finalist in the Welsh Open, French Open, German Open, Antwerp Open and Polish Open. Bennett qualified for the 2020 BDO World Darts Championship, becoming the youngest player ever to compete in the Men's tournament. Nathan Girvan
Nathan Girvan (born 6 November 2002 in Forfar, Angus) is a professional Scottish darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation events. He reached the final of the 2017 BDO World Youth Darts Championship and also in 2019. Career In 2016, Girvan topped the Scotland Youth tables after claiming eight titles. In 2017 he reached the final BDO World Youth Darts Championship which took place at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green. The Youth tournament was played in November 2016, in the semifinal he defeated Dutch player Maikel Verberk 4–1, which included a 170 checkout. He faced Justin van Tergouw in the final, he lost 3–0. Keane Neill Barry (born 25 June 2002) is an Irish professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and Youth Development Tour events. The highlight of his career was beating Conor Allen in a narrow 2-0 victory in a junior darts event in 2019. He was the World Masters Youth Champion and BDO World Youth Champion. Scott Mitchell (born 5 June 1970) is an English professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation tournaments. His most notable achievement was winning the 2015 BDO World Darts Championship. Darts career Early career Before he made his mark in the BDO, Mitchell qualified for the 2007 UK Open, winning his first round match 8–4 against Brian Cathcart before losing out in the second round to 2006 Lakeside World champion Jelle Klaasen. Mitchell won the England Classic and Swiss Open in 2009 which helped him qualify for the 2010 BDO World Championship as the 14th seed. The German Open (known for sponsorship reasons as the Bull's German Open) is a darts tournament that began in 1986. It was abandoned for three years before being recurred in 1990 where it has been held annually. All tournaments was held in Germany at various venues. Welsh Open (darts)
The Welsh Open is a darts tournament organised by the World Darts Federation and affiliated with the British Darts Organisation which has been staged annually since 1974. In 2008 the tournament was televised in the United Kingdom for the first time on Setanta Sports as part of the BDO's new Grand Prix (darts), Grand Prix series. From 1987 the event has been staged at the Pontins holiday camp in Prestatyn, North Wales. The singles tournaments are sponsored by Red Dragon Sports and Pontins sponsor the other events.
