Keane Barry
Keane Barry (born 25 June 2002) is an Irish professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. A professional since 2021, he has participated in six PDC World Championships and reached his first PDC major semi-final at the 2022 UK Open. In his youth career, Barry found success in the British Darts Organisation's youth system, most notably winning the 2020 BDO World Youth Championship. He has also won eight PDC Development Tours, as well as the Junior Darts Corporation's JDC World Darts Championship in 2019. Early life Born on 25 June 2002, Barry is from Duleek, County Meath, Ireland. He started playing darts at the age of four after asking his father to let him join in on his practice; he claimed to hit his first score of 180 at age five. 2025 PDC World Cup Of Darts
The 2025 PDC World Cup of Darts, known as the 2025 BetVictor World Cup of Darts for sponsorship reasons, was a professional darts tournament, held from 12 to 15 June 2025 at the Eissporthalle Frankfurt, Eissporthalle in Frankfurt, Germany. It was the fifteenth edition of the PDC World Cup of Darts to be staged by the Professional Darts Corporation. The tournament featured 40 national teams; the top four nations based on lowest combined PDC Order of Merit ranking entered in the second round, while the remaining 36 teams started in the group stage. 2020 BDO World Darts Championship
The 2020 BDO World Professional Darts Championship was the 43rd and final World Championship organised by the British Darts Organisation, and the only staging at the Indigo at The O2 in London. It was the first BDO World Darts Championship not held at the Lakeside Country Club since 1985. Gabriel Pascaru and Thibault Tricole became the first players from Romania and France respectively to play in a World Darts Championship. Three-time men's defending champion Glen Durrant was absent from the event, having switched to the Professional Darts Corporation in January 2019. The reigning women's champion was Mikuru Suzuki. She successfully retained her title, by defeating Lisa Ashton 3–0 in the final. Wayne Warren won his first world title with a 7–4 win over fellow Welshman Jim Williams in the final. 2017 World Masters (darts)
The 2017 Winmau World Masters was a major tournament on the BDO/ WDF calendar for 2017. It took place from 25 to 27 September at the Bridlington Spa Hall, which hosted the stage element of the event for the first time since 2009. Glen Durrant was the defending men's champion after defeating Mark McGeeney in last year's final by 6 sets to 3 but he failed to defend his title after losing to eventual champion Krzysztof Ratajski in the quarter-finals. Trina Gulliver was the defending women's champion after defeating Deta Hedman in the final last year by 5 legs to 2 but she failed to defend her title after losing to Tricia Wright in the quarter-finals. World Masters (darts)
The World Masters is a darts tournament, initially organised by the British Darts Organisation from 1974 and later by the World Darts Federation. It is one of the longest-running and most prestigious of the BDO/WDF tournaments. The tournament was originally sponsored by Phonogram before changing its sponsor in 1975 to darts board manufacturer, Winmau. The World Masters was originally contested as the best of 5 legs (first to 3) before later transitioning to the set format. It was previously the final leg of the BDO's Grand Slam title of televised majors, along with the BDO World Darts Championship, International Darts League and World Darts Trophy, until the latter two tournaments were axed in 2008. Duleek/Bellewstown is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Duleek, in County Meath, Ireland. The club, which also takes players from the Bellewstown area, plays football in Meath GAA competitions. A form of football, it is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. British Darts Organisation
The British Darts Organisation (BDO) was a darts organisation founded on 7 January 1973 by Olly Croft, and dissolved in 2020 under the stewardship of Des Jacklin. Made up of 66 member counties, it oversaw professional, semi-professional and amateur darts competitions in Britain. The BDO was a founder member of the World Darts Federation in 1974. It also staged a World Professional Darts Championship from 1978 to 2020. In the early 1990s, a dispute between Olly Croft and the top darts players over the decline in TV coverage and sponsorship led to an acrimonious split in the game, with the players breaking away to form their own governing body which became the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC).
