Legislature XIX Of Italy
The Legislature XIX of Italian Republic ( it, XIX Legislatura della Repubblica Italiana) is the current legislature of the Italian Parliament, which started on 13 October 2022. The composition of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate of the Republic is the one resulting from the 2022 Italian general election on 25 September, called after the dissolution of the Parliament announced by President Sergio Mattarella on 21 July. Per the 2020 Italian constitutional referendum, in the Chamber the number of members has been reduced from 630 to 400, while in the Senate the number of elective members has been reduced from 315 to 200. Senate Of The Republic (Italy)
The Senate of the Republic ( it, Senato della Repubblica), or simply the Senate ( it, Senato), is the upper house of the bicameral Italian Parliament (the other being the Chamber of Deputies). The two houses together form a perfect bicameral system, meaning they perform identical functions, but do so separately. Pursuant to the Articles 57, 58, and 59 of the Italian Constitution, the Senate has 200 elective members, of which 196 are elected from Italian constituencies, and 4 from Italian citizens living abroad. Furthermore, there is a small number (currently 6) of senators for life (''senatori a vita''), either appointed or ''ex officio''. It was established in its current form on 8 May 1948, but previously existed during the Kingdom of Italy as ''Senato del Regno'' ( Senate of the Kingdom), itself a continuation of the ''Senato Subalpino'' ( Subalpine Senate) of Sardinia established on 8 May 1848. Michela Vittoria Brambilla (born 26 October 1967) is an Italian politician and businesswoman. On 12 May 2008 she was nominated undersecretary (Tourism) in the Berlusconi IV Cabinet; on 8 May 2009 she was appointed Minister of Culture and Tourism, a position held until 2011. The Animalist Movement ( it, Movimento Animalista, MA) is a sister party of and, practically, a faction within Forza Italia (FI), a centre-right political party in Italy. Mixed Group
The mixed group ( it, Gruppo Misto, GM) is a parliamentary group active in both houses of the Italian Parliament, the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate. The groups comprise all the deputies and the senators, respectively, who are not members of any other parliamentary group. For them, membership of the Mixed Groups is the default option. Members of the Mixed Groups may form sub-groups reflecting their party affiliation. Three deputies are needed for the formation of a sub-group in the Chamber, while individual senators can form sub-groups in the Senate. Lorenzo Cesa (born 16 August 1951) is an Italian politician and the current Secretary of the Union of the Centre. Biography Cesa graduated in Political Science from the LUISS University in Rome. He was manager of important companies and banks, including ANAS. He was elected Municipal councillor of Rome with the Christian Democracy. Francesco Saverio Romano (born 24 December 1964) is an Italian politician and lawyer. He served as the minister of agricultures in 2011 and a member of the Chamber of Deputies between 2001 and 2018. Early life and education Romano was born in Palermo on 24 December 1964. He holds a law degree, which he received from the University of Palermo in 1988.
