Legenda (song)
Poland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "Legenda" written by Marcin Nierubiec and Marcin Mroziński. The song was performed by Marcin Mroziński. The Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) organised the national final ''Krajowe Eliminacje 2010'' in order to select the Polish entry for the 2010 contest in Oslo, Norway. The national final took place on 14 February 2010 and featured ten entries. "Legenda" performed by Marcin Mroziński was selected as the winner after gaining 33.61% of the public vote. Poland was drawn to compete in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 25 May 2010. Performing in position 9, "Legenda" was not announced among the top 10 entries of the first semi-final and therefore did not qualify to compete in the final. Marcin Mroziński (; born 26 September 1985 in Inowrocław) is a Polish actor, singer and television presenter. Biography Early life Mroziński was born 26 September 1985 in Inowrocław, Poland. He started his music career at age 8. He participated in a series of children's song contests in Poland when he was young. In 1997 he won the National French Song Contest (which was held in Radziejów) and received 1st place. He also represented Poland in the International Festival " Singing Mask" and finished in 2nd place. From 1998 he started to take part in hosting TV shows in Poland and he was also a semi-finalist in the Polish edition of Idol. Poland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 1999. The Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) selected country's entry via an internal selection. Mietek Szcześniak was ultimately selected to represent Poland at the 1999 contest in Jerusalem, Israel with the song "Przytul mnie mocno" written by Seweryn Krajewski and Wojciech Ziembicki. OGAE
The (OGAE) () is a non-governmental and non-profit international organisation, consisting of 42 Eurovision Song Contest fan clubs from across Europe and beyond. It was founded in 1984 in Savonlinna, Finland by Jaripekka Koikkalainen. Four non-profit competitions are organised by the OGAE every year to promote national popular music to Eurovision fans around the world. TVP Polonia (formerly known as TV Polonia) is the international channel of the Telewizja Polska (TVP). The channel is co-funded by the TVP and the Polish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and broadcasts from the TVP headquarters in Warsaw. TVP Polonia is targeted at Polish-speaking audiences outside Poland, and it broadcasts many of the shows also broadcast by TVP's domestic channels in addition to news from Polonia/Polish communities around the world. TVP HD is a special High Definition version of the Polish public broadcasting channels (Telewizja Polska). A digital terrestrial multiplex carrying the channel was available in Warsaw, Poznań, Zielona Góra, Żagań, Kraków, Leżajsk and Krosno from the 6 to 25 August 2008. It was launched in August 2008. Broadcast is 1080i video encoded with MPEG4/H.264. It is encrypted on Satellite (Hot Bird 13C at 13° east), with 18 hours of daily HD content.
