Carnegie School Of Physical Education
Leeds Beckett University (LBU), formerly known as Leeds Metropolitan University (LMU) and before that as Leeds Polytechnic, is a public university in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It has campuses in the Leeds city centre, city centre and Headingley. The university's origins can be traced to 1824, with the foundation of the Leeds Mechanics' Institutes, Mechanics Institute. Leeds Polytechnic was formed in 1970, and was part of the Leeds Local Education Authority until it became an independent Higher Education Corporation on 1 April 1989. Leeds Carnegie Handball Club (LCHC) is a university-based, amateur handball club, registered with the England Handball Association. LCHC hosts both men's and women's teams, and is based at Leeds Metropolitan University, Leeds, England, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Background LCHC is affiliated to the England Handball Association and currently competes in the North - Development League. Yorkshire Jets were an English netball team based at Leeds Beckett University. Their senior team played in the Netball Superleague. Between 2005–06 and 2011 they played as Leeds Met Carnegie or simply Leeds Carnegie.
