Lee Sun-kyu
Lee Sun-kyu ( ko, 이선규; born ) is a South Korean male volleyball player. He currently plays for the Uijeongbu KB Insurance Stars. Career Clubs Lee began his club career in 2003 after signing a contract with the Hyundai Capital Skywalkers. Prior to the 2013–14 season, Lee was traded to the Samsung Fire Bluefangs for Yeo Oh-hyun. Lee remained with the Bluefangs for three years before signing a contract with the KB Insurance Stars as a free agent on May 19, 2016. Lee recorded his 900th career block on December 17, 2016. Lee is the only player in V-League history to over 900 blocks in a career. Lee also scored his 3,000th career point on November 22, 2017, becoming the only middle blocker in V-League history to over 3,000 points in a career. Summer Universiade
The Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad". The Universiade is referred to in English as the World University Games or World Student Games; however, this latter term can also refer to competitions for sub-University grades students. In July 2020 as part of a new branding system by the FISU, it was stated that the Universiade will be officially branded as the FISU World University Games. FIVB Volleyball World League
The FIVB Volleyball World League was an annual international men's volleyball competition. Created in 1990, it was the longest and richest of all the international events organized by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). The women's version of the competition was called FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix. This event should not be confused with the other international volleyball competitions, the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, World Championship, the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup, World Cup and the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup, World Grand Champions Cup. 2006 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship
The 2006 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship was held in Japan from 17 November to 3 December 2006. Like the previous edition, 24 teams participated in the tournament. Brazil won the Tournament (retaining their championship title), defeating Poland 3:0 in the final match. Bulgaria placed 3rd, defeating Serbia and Montenegro 3:1 in the 3rd place match. The Polish team dedicated this achievement to the deceased Polish volleyball player Arkadiusz Gołaś. The team honored him at the award ceremony, when they wore T-shirts with the number 16 and the words "Golas". Host Finals hosts Japan. The tournament was held in six Japan cities. Japan Men's National Volleyball Team
The Japan men's national volleyball team ( ja, 男子バレーボール日本代表) represents Japan in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Japan Volleyball Association. Their nickname is "''RYUJIN NIPPON (龍神 NIPPON)''", meaning "Japanese Dragon God" or "Dragon God of Japan" in Japanese. Yeo Oh-hyun
Yeo Oh-hyun ( Hangul: 여오현; born ) is a South Korean male volleyball player. He currently plays the libero position for the Cheonan Hyundai Capital Skywalkers. Career Clubs Yeo, a 5-foot-9 (1.75 m) libero, played outside hitter for Hongik University for two years before converting to libero in the 1998–99 collegiate season. In the 2000 Super League semi-pro draft, Yeo was selected seventh overall by Samsung Fire Volleyball Club. As the starting libero, Yeo helped the Samsung Fire Bluefangs win the national championship 11 times in the semi-pro Super League (2001−2004) and pro V-League (2005, 2008−2013). After the 2012–13 V-League season, Yeo signed a contract with the Cheonan Hyundai Capital Skywalkers as a free agent. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996.
