Lee Roupas
Lee J. Roupas is a former Committeeman for the Palos Township Republican Organization as well as the former Chairman of the Cook County Republican Party in Cook County, Illinois. At a national level, Lee worked on the re-election campaign of President George W. Bush in Washington, D.C. as a Surrogate Event Coordinator, planning rallies for the President in battleground states across the country. He served the Republican Party on the 2004 Republican National Convention staff. He served the Party on the 55th Presidential Inauguration staff and later as the Communications Director for the Republican Party of Virginia. Prior to being elected Chairman of the Cook County Republican Party, he served on the Cook County GOP Executive Committee under Chairmen Gary Skoien and Liz Gorman. John Minogue (politician)
John Minogue (born 21 December 1959 in Scariff, County Clare, Ireland) is an Irish hurling manager and former player. He is the current manager of the Clare under-21 hurling team. Minogue captained UCC to 1 Fitzgibbon Cup in 1981 and also won a medal the next year 1982. He captained the combined universities team in 1981. He played his club hurling with Scariff and at inter-county level with Clare, playing in two County Finals and winning one Clare Cup. He was a corner-back on the latter team at various intervals throughout the 1980s, as well as serving as team captain for a season. He captained Clare to win the Oireachtas Cup in 1983. In retirement from playing Minogue has become involved in team management at various levels. Jussie Smollett Hate Crime Hoax
On January 29, 2019, American actor Jussie Smollett approached the Chicago Police Department and reported a hate crime that he had staged earlier that morning. He planned the hate crime with two Nigerian brothers, Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo, who had worked as extras on the set of television drama ''Empire'', in which Smollett was a cast member. During the staged attack, which took place on East Lower North Water Street in Chicago's Streeterville neighborhood, the disguised brothers shouted racial and homophobic slurs while one poured bleach on Smollett and the other placed a noose around his neck. In addition to falsely reporting that he had been attacked by two unknown individuals, Smollett described one of them as a white male.
