Lee Meager
Lee Meager (born 18 January 1978) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2000 to 2008. He held the British lightweight title in 2006 and challenged for the same title in 2008. Professional career He had his first professional fight in September 2000, when he beat Peter Buckley on points over four rounds at York Hall, Bethnal Green. He won 16 of his first 17 fights, drawing the other, before losing on points to Danny Hunt in a fight for the English lightweight title on 19 November 2004. In May 2006, Meager fought Dave Stewart for the vacant British lightweight title. The fight was at Bethnal Green, and Meager won when the fight was stopped in the sixth. In December 2006, Meager defended his title against Jonathan Thaxton, at Dagenham. Thaxton won on a unanimous points decision after twelve rounds, to take Meager’s title. DW Stadium
The DW Stadium is a stadium in Robin Park, in Wigan, within the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan, Greater Manchester, England. The ground is owned and managed by Wigan Football Company Limited, which is 85% owned by Wigan Athletic and 15% owned by Wigan local authority. It is used by Wigan Athletic football club and Wigan Warriors rugby league club, the rugby league club having a 50 years lease on tenancy to play games at the stadium. Peter Buckley (boxer)
Peter Buckley (born 9 March 1969) is a retired English journeyman boxer who competed from 1989 to 2008. Although he most notably fought around the Featherweight division, he competed at a number of weight divisions up and down on either side. Pro career Buckley turned pro in October 1989, when he fought Alan Baldwin from Brixham at the Colosseum, Stafford, West Midlands, England, it was a close fight which ended in a draw. Buckley lost 256 of his 300 contests, which is the second most in boxing history behind Reggie Strickland. Charles "The Bull" Shepherd (also known as Charlie) is the former British, Commonwealth and World Super featherweight boxing champion.
