Laurie Kingsbury
Laurie Kingsbury (born May 18, 1992) is a women's ice hockey player who has competed for the Canadian National Women's Under 18 team. Playing career She was one of four players from Quebec, (along with Melodie Daoust, Roxanne Douville and Marie-Philip Poulin), who represented Canada at the 2009 IIHF World Women's U18 Championship in Germany. Daoust was a Montreal Canadiens scholarship holder in 2010 from the Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence. Kingsbury was part of Canada's National Women's Under-18 Team to a gold medal at the 2010 IIHF World Women's Under-18 Championship in Chicago. As a member of the gold medal winning squad, a hockey card of her was featured in the Upper Deck 2010 World of Sports card series. Syracuse Orange Women's Ice Hockey
Syracuse Orange women's ice hockey is a college ice hockey program that has represented Syracuse University in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I and College Hockey America (CHA) since the 2008–09 season. Syracuse plays its home games at Tennity Ice Skating Pavilion in Syracuse, New York. History 2008–09 Season On March 6, 2008, it was announced that the Orange would join College Hockey America. Salaberry-de-Valleyfield is a city in southwestern Quebec, Canada, in the Regional County Municipality of Beauharnois-Salaberry. The population as of 2019 was 42,410. Marie-Philip Poulin
Marie-Philip Poulin-Nadeau (born March 28, 1991) is a Canadian ice hockey forward, currently with the PWHPA and who serves as captain of the Canada women's national ice hockey team, Canadian national team. A three-time Olympic and three-time World champion with the Canadian national team, Poulin famously scored the game-winning goal in the gold medal games in three out of four of the Olympics in which she competed (2010 Olympic Winter Games, 2010, 2014 Winter Olympics, 2014 and 2022 Winter Olympics, 2022), for which she was dubbed Captain Clutch by her teammates and the media. The 2009 IIHF World Women's U18 Championship was the second holding of the World Women's U18 Championships, the premier International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) tournament for top division national women's junior ice hockey teams. It was held from 5 January through 10 January 2009, in Füssen, Germany. Eight teams competed in the Top Division tournament.
