Latenivenatrix Mcmasterae
''Latenivenatrix'' (meaning "hiding huntress") is a genus of troodontid known from one species, ''L. mcmasterae''. Along with the contemporary '' Stenonychosaurus'', it is known from the non-tooth fossils formerly assigned to the genus '' Troodon''. Although described as separate, it has been considered a junior synonym of ''Stenonychosaurus''. Discovery and specimens The type specimen or holotype of ''Latenivenatrix'', CMN 12340, was originally described in 1969 by Dale Alan Russell and referred by him to the genus '' Stenonychosaurus''. In 1987 it was referred to '' Troodon''. It had been collected in 1968 by Irene Vanderloh in the Dinosaur Park Formation strata from Alberta, southern Canada. The specimen has preserved some skull bones ( frontals, parietals, postorbital, basioccipital and basisphenoid), four vertebrae and four ribs, some chevrons and gastralia, fairly complete forelimb and incomplete hindlimbs. The Campanian is the fifth of six ages of the Late Cretaceous Epoch on the geologic timescale of the International Commission on Stratigraphy (ICS). In chronostratigraphy, it is the fifth of six stages in the Upper Cretaceous Series. Campanian spans the time from 83.6 (± 0.2) to 72.1 (± 0.2) million years ago. It is preceded by the Santonian and it is followed by the Maastrichtian. The Campanian was an age when a worldwide sea level rise covered many coastal areas. The morphology of some of these areas has been preserved: it is an unconformity beneath a cover of marine sedimentary rocks. ''Linhevenator'' is a genus of short-armed troodontid theropod dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous (Campanian) Bayan Mandahu Formation of Bayan Mandahu, Inner Mongolia, China. Discovery The type species ''Linhevenator tani'' was named and described in 2011 by Xu Xing, Tan Qingwei, Corwin Sullivan, Han Fenglu and Xiao Dong. The generic name combines a reference to the Linhe region with a Latin ''venator'', "hunter". The specific name honours Professor Tan Lin. ''Urbacodon'' ("URBAC tooth") is a genus of troodontid dinosaur, a type of small carnivore. It lived in Uzbekistan during the early Late Cretaceous Period, about 95 million years ago. On 9 September 2004, a lower jaw of a small theropod was uncovered by Anton Sergeevich Rezwiy near Itemir in the IT-01 quarry. The type species, ''Urbacodon itemirensis'', was named by Alexandr Averianov and Hans-Dieter Sues in 2007.
