Las Vigas de Ramírez is a city in the Mexican state of Veracruz. It serves as the municipal seat for the surrounding municipality of the same name. The city was established by decree on 23 November 1523, named after the teacher (1884–1959). Veracruz (), formally Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave (), officially the Free and Sovereign State of Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave ( es, Estado Libre y Soberano de Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave), is one of the 31 states which, along with Mexico City, comprise the 32 Federal Entities of Mexico. A ''presidente municipal'' (English: "municipal president") is the chief of government of municipios in Mexico. The Köppen climate classification is one of the most widely used climate classification systems. It was first published by German-Russian climatologist Wladimir Köppen (1846–1940) in 1884, with several later modifications by Köppen, notably in 1918 and 1936. Veracruz is a state in central eastern Mexico that is divided into 212 municipalities. According to the 2020 Mexican Census, it is the fourth most populated state with inhabitants and the 11th largest by land area spanning .
