Lansingerland-Zoetermeer Railway Station
Lansingerland-Zoetermeer railway station is a railway station on the borders of Bleiswijk and Zoetermeer, Netherlands. It was previously known under its conceptual name BleiZo. The train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen. History The opening had been planned for 2014, but this was delayed until 2018 and the first train stopped at the station at 9 December 2018. RandstadRail extension opened at 19 May 2019. The station lies on the Den Haag – Gouda line and is located between Zoetermeer Oost and Gouda railway stations. A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. A station having dual side platforms, one for each direction of travel, is the basic design used for double-track railway lines (as opposed to, for instance, the island platform where a single platform lies between the tracks). HTM Personenvervoer NV (HTM, from the former name Haagsche Tramweg Maatschappij) is a public transport company in the Netherlands operating trams, lightrail and buses in The Hague, Rijswijk, Leidschendam, Voorburg, Delft, Zoetermeer, Wateringen, Pijnacker and Nootdorp, the so-called Conurbation Haaglanden. Zoetermeer () is a city in the Western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The municipality covers an area of of which is water. RandstadRail () is a light rail network in the Rotterdam–The Hague metropolitan area in the west of the Netherlands that is jointly operated by HTM Personenvervoer (HTM) and Rotterdamse Elektrische Tram (RET).
