He began playing football on the streets in his neighbourhood, until he joined the youth ranks of Kuwait SC. During that period, he was coached by Abdulkarim Al Aqas. Alessandro Lami (Rosignano Marittimo, 27 January 1949 - 8 March 2015) was an Italian classical philologist. Life Born to the workman Pietro Lami and his wife Rina Colombini he grew up in Castiglioncello and was schooled in the knowledge of Latin and Classical Greek at the Liceo Classico "Niccolini Guerrazzi" in Livorno where he firstmeets his wife, Elisabetta Piccioni. Having received a scholarship from the Scuola Normale Superiore, he eventually finishes his studies at the University of Pisa, where his academic mentor is Vincenzo di Benedetto. There he teaches Greek Literature, first as an assistant professor, than as an associate professor. He keeps with his research until shortly before his death, collaborating with Galenos, journal of philology of medical texts directed by his friend and coworker Ivan Garofalo. Alphonse Lami (22 June 1822, Paris-17 July 1867, Alexandria) was a French sculptor and Egyptologist of Italian descent. Life He was the son of François Lami (illegitimate son of prince Francesco Borghese) and Louise Hélène Heim (granddaughter of Jean-Baptiste Nicolet. He joined the Ecole des Beaux-Arts on 7 October 1846, studying under Abel de Pujol and Francisque Duret. He first exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1850 with a marble statue entitled "Liseuse". He then went to Egypt where from 1852 to 1853 he took part in the excavation of the Serapeum of Saqqara, which were headed by his friend Auguste Mariette. Basilio Lami Dozo
Basilio Arturo Ignacio Lami Dozo (1 February 1929 – 1 February 2017) was a member of the Argentine Air Force. He participated in the military dictatorship known as the National Reorganisation Process (1976–1983) and, along with Leopoldo Fortunato Galtieri and Jorge Isaac Anaya, was a member of the Third Military Junta that ruled Argentina between 1981 and 1982. Alongside Reynaldo Bignone and Omar Graffigna he was one of the last surviving members of the dictatorship. In the 1985 Trial of the Juntas, he was charged with, and acquitted of, acts of torture, making false declarations, and kidnappings. In 1989, he was sentenced to an eight-year prison term in the criminal proceedings that arose from the 1982 Falklands War, in which he had served as commander-in-chief of the Air Force. In 1990 he received a presidential pardon from Carlos Menem and was allowed to keep his military rank. Edgardo Lami Starnuti (3 March 1887 – 4 May 1968) was an Italian lawyer and politician. He was a member of Senate of the Republic (Italy), Italian Senate for the Italian Democratic Socialist Party (PSDI). He also served as the minister of state holdings and minister of industry and commerce. Biography Starnuti was born in Pontedera near Pisa on 3 March 1887. He was a lawyer by profession. During the Fascist Italy (1922–1943), Fascist rule in Italy he edited a weekly socialist publication, ''La Battaglia Socialista''. Eugène Lami
Eugène Louis Lami (12 January 1800 – 19 December 1890) was a French painter, watercolorist, lithographer, illustrator and designer. He was a painter of fashionable Paris during the period of the July Monarchy and the Second French Empire and also made history paintings and illustrations for books such as Gil Blas and Manon Lescaut. Life He worked at the studio of Horace Vernet then studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris with Camille Roqueplan and Paul Delaroche under Antoine-Jean Gros. While there, he learned watercolor technique from Richard Parkes Bonington and later became a founding member of the Society of French Watercolorists. Lami began working in lithography and in 1819 produced a set of 40 lithographs depicting the Spanish cavalry. Giovanni Lami (8 November 1697 – 6 February 1770) was an Italian jurist, church historian, and antiquarian. Biography He was born at Santa Croce sull'Arno (between Pisa and Florence) into a relatively affluent family; his paternal family were merchants of meat products and owned land in Tuscany. Giovanni's father had graduated from the University of Pisa with a degree in medicine in 1683. Giovanni was orphaned of his father at the age of 2 years, and his mother entrusted him to be educated under his uncle, canon in the Collegiate church in his birthplace. In 1710, he studied for a year in the Jesuit college of Prato (Collegio Cicognini). He was then tutored by another uncle, Carlo Felice. Stanislas Lami
Stanislas Lami (30 November 1858 – 31 January 1944) was a French sculptor and art historian. Life He was born in Paris, the son of Marie Bidauld and the sculptor Alphonse Lami. On 24 June 1891 he married Émilie, the daughter of Austrian Charles Sedelmeyer, art dealer and editor. Works Some of his works are on show in museums in Spain. The musée d'Orsay has his marble sculpture of a '' Chien danois'' (c.1892) – he also produced a ''Death-Mask of Berlioz'' (1884) now held at the bibliothèque de l'Opéra de Paris. He gave one of his works to his relation Charles de Gaulle. Stanislas Lami exhibited frequently at the Paris Salons, including that of 1897, and at the Chicago salon of 1893. Fatima Lami Abubakar (born 12 April 1951) is a Nigerian jurist who was the First Lady of Nigeria during the term of Abdulsalami Abubakar from June 1998 to May 1999.
