Lala Rukh (activist)
Lala Rukh (1948 – 2017), was a prominent Pakistani teacher, women's rights activist and artist who was known as founder of Women's Action Forum. Education and career Rukh did Masters in Fine Arts at University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan and University of Chicago, USA. She taught at Punjab University, Department of Fine Art for thirty years and at the National College of Arts, Lahore where, in 2000, she started MA (Hons) Visual Art Program. She was awarded various government travel grants in Pakistan to study in Turkey and Afghanistan. Art Work Rukh's art work has minimalist and meditative expressions. Her work, "Mirror Image, 1, 2, 3, 1997" (a collage) were acquired by Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City in January, 2020. Editions of her work, "Rupak, 2016" (the digital animation) now belong in Tate Modern (London), Samdani Art Foundation (Bangladesh), Art Jameel Collection (Dubai) and The Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York City). Athens Conservatoire
The Athens Conservatoire () is the oldest educational institution for the performing arts in modern Greece. It was founded in 1871 by the non-profit organization Music and Drama Association. History Initially, the musical instruments that were taught there were limited to the violin and the flute, representative of the ancient Greek Apollonian and Dionysian aesthetic principles. Significantly, piano lessons were not included in the program. In 1881 its new German-taught director Georgios Nazos, in a move that was controversial at the time, expanded the conservatoire's program by introducing modern Western European-style instruments and theory material. Punta Della Dogana
Punta della Dogana is an art museum in one of Venice's old customs buildings, the ''Dogana da Mar''. It also refers to the triangular area of Venice where the Grand Canal meets the Giudecca Canal, and its collection of buildings: Santa Maria della Salute, (hence the area is also known as Punta della Salute), the Patriarchal Seminary of Venice, and Dogana da Mar at the triangle's tip. Geography and history Punta della Dogana is located between the Grand and Giudecca Canals at the tip of an island in the Dorsoduro district. Adjacent to each other are the Dogana da Mar, Patriarchal Seminary, and Santa Maria della Salute. It is diagonal from the Piazza San Marco. The point was used for docking and customs as early as the beginning of the 15th century.
