Lake Township is one of the nineteen townships of Wood County, Ohio, United States. The 2010 census found 10,972 people in the township, 6,753 of whom lived in the unincorporated portions of the township. Geography Located in the northeastern part of the county, it borders the following municipalities: * Northwood - north * Allen Township, Ottawa County - northeast * Clay Township, Ottawa County - southeast * Troy Township - south * Perrysburg Township - west Two villages are located in Lake Township: Millbury in the east, and Walbridge in the northwest. Ted Strickland
Theodore Strickland (born August 4, 1941) is an American politician who was the 68th governor of Ohio, serving from 2007 to 2011. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served in the United States House of Representatives, representing (1993–1995, 1997–2007). Lake High School (Millbury, Ohio)
Lake High School is a public high school near Millbury, Ohio in Lake Township. It is the only high school in the Lake Local School District, serving about 500 students in grades 8 to 12. Athletics Lake's athletic teams are known as the Flyers, named for the Metcalf Field Airport (now the Toledo Executive Airport) directly across the street from campus. Since 2011, they have been members of the Northern Buckeye Conference after being in the Suburban Lakes League from 1996 to 2011 and the Northern Lakes League from 1960 to 1996. The school colors are Navy Blue, White, and Columbia Blue.
