Ladies Of Soul
The Ladies of Soul is a Dutch supergroup that was founded by Candy Dulfer, Berget Lewis, Glennis Grace and Edsilia Rombley. Trijntje Oosterhuis, a former founding member, left in 2017 to focus on hesolo-career History Origins The Ladies of Soul have shared childhoods; Oosterhuis and Lewis were neighbours, Rombley and Lewis became best friends and Oosterhuis and Dulfer were connected through relatives. They ended up pursuing careers in music and making guest appearances at each other's performances. All five of them got together in 2012 for a successful series of Whitney Houston memorial concerts. These were organized by Oosterhuis' brother Tjeerd (Rombley's husband). Other singers to appear in "In remembrance of Whitney Houston" were Do, Leona Philippo and Tania Kross. By popular demand, the Ladies continued their collaboration with Tjeerd Oosterhuis for a big event. Dominique Rijpma van Hulst (; born 7 September 1981) is a Dutch singer and actress known by her stage name Do. She is best known for singing the vocals of "Heaven", DJ Sammy's worldwide top 10-hit in 2002–2003, a cover of the 1980s hit of the same name by Bryan Adams. The Ziggo Dome ( or ) is an indoor arena in Amsterdam, Netherlands, located next to the Johan Cruijff ArenA. It is named after the Dutch cable TV provider Ziggo. In 2014, the Ziggo Dome Awards were announced, recognizing artists who performed at the arena. Architecture The Ziggo Dome was designed by Benthem Crouwel Architects. Tania Kross is a Dutch mezzo-soprano singer born in Curaçao. Early life and education Kross was born in 1976 in Curaçao in the Netherlands Antilles.
