La-un District
La-un ( th, ละอุ่น, ) is a district (''amphoe'') of Ranong province, southern Thailand. History In 1932 the minor district (''king amphoe'') was established as a subordinate of Mueang Ranong district. On 28 June 1973, it was upgraded to a full district. In 1996, a new district office was built. Geography Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Kra Buri district, Kra Buri of Ranong Province, Sawi district, Sawi, Lang Suan district, Lang Suan and Phato district, Phato of Chumphon province, and Mueang Ranong district, Mueang Ranong of Ranong. To the west across the estuary of the Kraburi River is the Tanintharyi Division of Myanmar. Administration The district is divided into seven sub-districts (''tambons''), which are further subdivided into 35 villages (''muban''). Thesaban Tambon
Thesaban ( th, เทศบาล, , ) are the municipalities of Thailand. There are three levels of municipalities: city, town, and sub-district. Bangkok and Pattaya are special municipal entities not included in the ''thesaban'' system. Muban
Muban ( th, หมู่บ้าน; , ) is the lowest administrative sub-division of Thailand. Usually translated as 'village' and sometimes as 'hamlet', they are a subdivision of a tambon (subdistrict). , there were 74,944 administrative mubans in Thailand. As of the 1990 census, the average village consisted of 144 households or 746 persons. Phato District
Phato ( th, พะโต๊ะ, ) is a district (''amphoe'') of Chumphon province, southern Thailand. History Originally Patho was a district of ''Mueang'' Lang Suan, which was abolished and included in Chumphon Province in 1932. In 1938 Phato was reduced to a minor district (''king amphoe''). On 19 June 1991 it was upgraded to a full district.
