''L.H.O.N.'', also called ''L.H.O.N. (La Humanidad o Nosotros)'' (English: ''L.H.O.N. (Humanity or Us)'') is the eighth studio album by Argentine musical duo Illya Kuryaki and the Valderramas, released on April 8, 2016, through Sony Music. The album was produced by Dante Spinetta and Emmanuel Horvilleur, the two members of the duo, and features collaborations with Mexican singer Natalia Lafourcade and American singer Miguel. At the 17th Annual Latin Grammy Awards, the album won Best Alternative Music Album, while the song "Gallo Negro" won Best Short Form Music Video. The album was also nominated for Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards, the duo's second Grammy nomination. Illya Kuryaki And The Valderramas
Illya Kuryaki and the Valderramas (IKV) is a musical duo formed in 1991 consisting of Dante Spinetta and Emmanuel Horvilleur, from Buenos Aires, Argentina. The duo split in 2001 to follow solo careers, but later performed together several times, and officially reunited in 2011. The duo took their name from a fictional character, the Soviet spy Illya Kuryakin in the hit 1960s TV show ''The Man from U.N.C.L.E.'', and the Colombian football player Carlos Valderrama. Their musical style is extremely wide-ranging, including hip-hop, rock, funk, and salsa. History The duo met as children as a result of the friendship between their parents. Spinetta is the son of musician Luis Alberto Spinetta, and Horvilleur's father is photographer Eduardo Marti. Rafael Sardina, known professionally as Rafa Sardina, is a basque recording engineer, mixing engineer and record producer known for his work with Alejandro Sanz, Luis Miguel, Calle 13, D'Angelo, The Clare Fischer Big Band and Lady Gaga. The 19th Annual Premios Gardel ceremony were held on June 6, 2017. The TN network broadcast the show live from the Gran Rex Theatre in Buenos Aires. ''Chances'' is the seventh studio album by Argentine musical duo Illya Kuryaki and the Valderramas, released on October 31, 2012, through Sony Music Latin.
