Korangi Industrial Area
Korangi District ( ur, ) is one of the seven administrative districts of Karachi last modified in 2013, part of the Karachi Division in Sindh, Pakistan. Map of Karachi Division History The district was a part of District East in Karachi, which was divided in November 2013. The district is diverse include Baloch, Pashtun, Sindhi, Punjabi and other ethnicities. The district suffers from water crisis and contamination issues. A reverse osmosis plant was inaugurated in Union Council 35 of District Municipal Corporation (DMC) Korangi on 6 March 2017. Demographics At the time of the 2017 census, Korangi district had a population of 2,577,556, of which 1,347,161 were males and 1,229,899 females. The entire population was urban. The literacy rate is 80.19%: 81.56% for males and 78.68% for females. The majority religion is Islam, with 95.90% of the population. Christianity is practiced by 3.51% of the population. Korangi Sector 33
Korangi Sector 33 ( ur, کورنگی ) is a neighbourhood in the Korangi District in eastern Karachi, Pakistan. It was previously part of Korangi Town, which was an administrative unit that was disbanded in 2011. The area is divided into six further townships: 33/A, 33/B, 33/C, 33/D, 33/E, and 33/F. 33/A, is the main and biggest area of Sector 33 it comprises the main Markets, Banks, Hospitals, Restaurants, Hotels, Electronic Market and other businesses and is the center business hub of Korangi. The housing schemes of 33/B, 33/C, D, and F, comprising 60 and 80 square yard houses, were primarily allotted to working class strata of Karachi. However, 33/E was allotted to Pakistan Navy's employees. 33/A and 33/E are the only scheme in Sector 33 which has 120 square yards for each house. Second, the lanes and streets of 33/A and 33/E are wider properly laid plains which attracted upper-middle and middle-class people from the neighboring areas.

It was previously part of Korangi Town, which was an administrative unit that was disbanded in 2011. There are several ethnic groups in Chakra Goth including Muhajirs, Punjabis, Sindhis, Kashmiris, Seraikis, Pakhtuns, Balochis, Bengalis, Memons, Bohras, Ismailis, Rohingyas, etc. The population is predominantly Muslim. There are large number of Bengalis from Bangladesh, and Rohingyas from Myanmar have settled in this neighbourhood.
