Koby Arthur Koomson is a Ghanaian diplomat. He served as Ghana's Ambassador to the United States of America from 1997 to 2001. Biography Koomson was born in May 1951 in Gold Coast (now Ghana). He had his secondary education at Ghana National College and his tertiary education at Arkansas State University. Gold Coast (British Colony)
The Gold Coast was a British Crown colony on the Gulf of Guinea in West Africa from 1821 until its independence in 1957 as Ghana. Jerry John Rawlings (22 June 194712 November 2020) was a Ghanaian military officer and politician who led the country for a brief period in 1979, and then from 1981 to 2001. He led a military junta until 1992, and then served two terms as the democratically elected President of Ghana. Rawlings came to power in Ghana as a flight lieutenant of the Ghana Air Force following a coup d'état in 1979. Ghana National College is a senior high school in Cape Coast, Ghana. Overview Ghana National College was founded on 20 July 1948, staffed by dismissed teachers from St Augustine's College and Mfantsipim School.''Hon.
