Kimmo Nikkanen
MoonTV was a free Finnish cable network channel. It started off as a channel for programmes about computer and video games but later grew into a channel covering several areas of youth culture. In its prime it was the first interactive TV channel in the world. At its best MoonTV could reach 1.3 million potential viewers in the 12 biggest cities across Finland. In 2003 the channel was shut down after the company that owned it filed for bankruptcy. MoonTV was relaunched in 2010 online with new hosts and a new program line-up. People Mika Koivula and Hannu and Pekka Kossila were the founding members of MoonTV. Koivula came up with the name "MoonTV" back in 1996. Pekka Kossila was in charge of creating economical interactive TV formats which were the core of the channel when it started its test broadcasts in November 1996. Extreme Duudsonit
The Dudesons ( fi, Duudsonit) are a Finnish entertainment group. They are best known for their TV shows and live performances, which are a combination of stunts and comedy. Their early TV shows were similar to '' Jackass''. Starting their television career in the early 2000s, they gained international fame and had a show on the American television channel MTV in 2010. After ''The Dudesons in America'', the group started to shift from the stunts to more multidimensional careers. Background The Dudesons consists of Jukka Hildén (b. 1980), Jarppi Leppälä (b. 1979), Jarno Laasala (b. 1979) and Hannu-Pekka "HP" Parviainen (b. 1981). ''Dresscode'' was a Finnish fashion TV-series airing on MoonTV. It was hosted by master tailor Arman Alizad. The series run for three seasons, from 2001 to 2003. Synopsis Dresscode took a very diverse approach to fashion, and was considered by many to be more of a lifestyle-show. It covered very varied subjects like clothing, jewelry, interior design, etiquette, food, drinks, cars, and even guns. Arman Alizad
Arman Alizad (born 12 January 1971) is an Iranian-Finnish master tailor, fashion columnist and TV personality. He is best known for the martial arts series ''Kill Arman'', which has aired in over 100 countries around the world. Alizad has also hosted several other Finnish TV series, such as '' Dresscode'', ''Unisex'', ''Loman Tarpeessa'' and ''Arman Reilaa''. Early life Alizad was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1971. When the Islamic revolution started in 1979, his family first escaped to the United States and eventually Finland, where his grandparents had been living. He has lived there ever since. Rapping
Rapping (also rhyming, spitting, emceeing or MCing) is a musical form of vocal delivery that incorporates "rhyme, rhythmic speech, and street vernacular". Nelonen
Nelonen () is a Finnish commercial television channel. It started out as Helsinki's local television channel PTV in 1990 on the HTV cable network (now part of DNA Welho), and changed its name first to PTV4. On June 1, 1997, the channel expanded to national coverage and changed its name to Nelonen, the Finnish name of the number four. Nelonen is mostly owned by Sanoma Corporation, which owns the ''Helsingin Sanomat'' and '' Ilta-Sanomat'' newspapers. Its largest owner was Aatos Erkko. Elias Poutanen
Elias Poutanen (also known by his alias ''Olmoor'') is a former host/computer-game critic. He has worked for the magazine ''Pelaaja'' and for a number of related television programmes. Though officially a Finnish citizen, he was born in Australia. He started out as the replacement for Thomas Puha who previously hosted the programme called ''Play'' on MoonTV. The name of the show was changed to ''Player'' during this transition. He became noted by some fans as the channel's ''cute nerd''. He remained the official host for all console-gaming involved shows until MoonTV's cancellation in the early summer of 2003. After MoonTV's demise, Poutanen appeared only abruptly on television.
