Kauppi (district)
Kauppi is an eastern part of the city of Tampere, Finland. It is part of larger Sampo district. The area is mostly forested and there are ' that are cross-country ski trails in winter. The Kauppi Sports Center has a sports stadium, a greyhound track, a ski lodge, a baseball field and football pitches. The district is bordered on the north by Lake Näsijärvi, on the east by the Niihama district and on the south by Teiskontie. Football Pitch
A football pitch (also known as soccer field) is the playing surface for the game of association football. Its dimensions and markings are defined by Law 1 of the Laws of the Game, "The Field of Play". The pitch is typically made of natural turf or artificial turf, although amateur and recreational teams often play on dirt fields. Artificial surfaces are allowed only to be green in colour. All line markings on the pitch form part of the area which they define. For example, a ball on or above the touchline is still on the field of play, and a foul committed over the line bounding the penalty area results in a penalty. Urho Kaleva Kekkonen (; 3 September 1900 – 31 August 1986), often referred to by his initials UKK, was a Finnish politician who served as the eighth and longest-serving president of Finland from 1956 to 1982. Teiskontie
Teiskontie is a street and highway in Tampere, Finland. As its name implies, it runs from the center of Tampere towards Teisko, a former municipality connected to Tampere in 1972. To the east of the highway junction of Hervanta, it is part of Highway 12 leading in the direction of Lahti and Kouvola. On the east side of Lake Alasjärvi, Teiskontie has a connection to Highway 9 ( E63) leading in the direction of Jyväskylä and Kuopio. Teiskontie starts at the intersection of Itsenäisyydenkatu, Kalevan puistotie and Sammonkatu in the Liisankallio district. It runs through Kaleva as a wide esplanade with residential apartment buildings and commercial premises. Niihama (district)
Niihama is a neighbourhood in the northeast part of the city of Tampere, Finland. The area is mostly wooded and mainly for outdoor use. There are cross-country ski runs in winter, and there is also a water sports center and Niihama Allotment Garden. Niihama is bordered on the west by Kauppi, on the north by Lake Näsijärvi, on the south by Teiskontie and on the east by Highway 9. The smaller lakes in the Niihama district are Lake Alasjärvi, Lake Toritunjärvi and Lake Niihamanjärvi. Greyhound
