Kandan Subdistrict
Kandan Subdistrict () is a subdistrict located in the southern side of Fengtai District, Beijing, China. It shares border with Wulidian and Fengtai Subdistricts to the north, Xincun and Yuquanying Subdistricts to the east, Huaxiang Subdistrict to the southeast, and Wanping Subdistrict to the west. This region was recorded in ''Wanshu Zaji'' () as "Kandankou". The subdistrict itself was created in 2021. Fengtai District () is a district of the municipality of Beijing. It lies mostly to the southwest of the city center, extending into the city's southwestern suburbs beyond the 6th Ring Road, Sixth Ring Road, but also to the south and, to a smaller extent, the southeast, where it has borders with Chaoyang District, Beijing, Chaoyang District and Dongcheng District, Beijing, Dongcheng District. An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Line 16 of the Beijing Subway () is a rapid transit rail line in Beijing. Currently, the line is in length with 16 stations. It will be with 30 stations when fully completed. The line is fully underground. Construction began in December 2013. The northern section, from to was opened on 31 December 2016. An infill station, was opened on December 30, 2017. The Beijing Subway is the rapid transit system of Beijing Municipality that consists of 25 lines including 20 rapid transit lines, two airport rail links, one maglev line and 2 light rail lines, and 463 stations.
