Line 16 (Beijing Subway)
Line 16 of the Beijing Subway () is a rapid transit rail line in Beijing. Currently, the line is in length with 16 stations. It will be with 30 stations when fully completed. The line is fully underground. Construction began in December 2013. The northern section, from to was opened on 31 December 2016. An infill station, was opened on December 30, 2017. It extended to on 31 December 2020, and extended to on 31 December 2021. The line is operated by the Beijing MTR Corporation Limited and uses CNR Changchun DKZ93 and CSR Sifang SFM40 eight-car high-capacity wide-body Type A trains. Line 16's color is green (color), dark-moderate green. Route The line starts at the west end of Beiqing Road (北清路) just outside of the 6th Ring Road (Beijing), 6th Ring Road and follows the road east to Yongfeng Road (永丰路) where it turns south towards the city. Marco Polo Bridge
The Marco Polo Bridge or Lugou Bridge () is a stone bridge located 15 km southwest of Beijing's city center in the Fengtai District. It bridges the Yongding River, a major tributary of Hai River. Situated at the eastern end of the bridge is the Wanping Fortress, a historic 17th-century fortress, with the Museum of the War of Chinese People's Resistance Against Japanese Aggression inside. In recent years, the water of Yongding River has been diverted to different areas of Beijing, so there is often no water under the bridge. Names The name "Marco Polo Bridge" derives from the appearance, before its reconstruction, in Marco Polo's book of travels, where he praised it highly. Erligou station () is a station under construction on Line 6 and Line 16 of the Beijing Subway. History Erligou station did not enter into operation along with Line 6 Phase I on December 30, 2012. Wanshou Temple
The Wanshou Temple () is a temple located at No.121, Wanshousi Road, Haidian District, Beijing. In addition to being a Buddhist temple, the Wanshou Temple also houses the Beijing Art Museum (北京艺术博物馆/北京藝術博物館). Purple Bamboo Park ( Chinese: 紫 竹 院 公园; pinyin: Zǐ Zhú Yuàn Gōngyuán; also called Zizhuyuan Park or Black Bamboo Park) is one of the seven largest parks in Beijing, China. It is located in the Haidian District of northwestern Beijing. The park consists of three connecting lakes covering over a total area of 48 hectares.
