Kārlis Tīls
Kārlis Tīls (1906-196?) was a Latvian international football (soccer), football defender and football manager, one of the most legendary footballers in the history of Liepāja. Biography At the age of 17 Tīls was one of the footballers who played in the first ever official match of Olimpija Liepāja as the club lost 1 - 2 to LNJS Liepāja. Together with Olimpija he went through all the club's glories and disasters. He was with Olimpija as it won its six Latvian league titles and the Riga Football Cup three times in a row. From 1926 to 1931 Tīls played 9 international matches for Latvia national football team. After World War II when Olimpija was disbanded and a new club - FHK Liepājas Metalurgs, Daugava Liepāja was formed, Tīls was appointed as the club's head coach. FK ASK
FK ASK Riga was a Latvian football club of the Latvian army, founded in 1923. In the 1920s and 1930s it was one of the leading clubs in Latvia. In 1940s it was disbanded, a new football club of the Soviet army was created in Riga under the name FK AVN, later AVN was renamed to ASK. It became defunct in 1970. The Latvian Football Cup () is the main Single-elimination tournament, knockout cup competition in Latvian Football (soccer), football. Since 2021, its full name is Responsible Game Latvian Football Cup (''Atbildīgas spēles Latvijas kauss'') due to the sponsorship by sports betting company William Hill (bookmaker), William Hill.
