The Ministry of Labor (MOL; ) is a ministry of the Republic of China (Taiwan) representing opinions of employees, political and academic circles to review labor policies, laws and regulations, as well as related projects and programs in Taiwan. Chen Hsiung-wen () or Sherman Chen is a Taiwanese politician. He was the Minister of Labor from 20 August 2014 until 20 May 2016. Early life and education Chen earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering and master's degree in environmental engineering from National Cheng Kung University. Lin Mei-chu
Lin Mei-chu () is a Taiwanese politician. She was the Minister of Labor from 8 February 2017 until 22 February 2018. Education Lin obtained her bachelor's and master's degrees in law from National Chengchi University in 1976 and 1982, respectively. Political career She was appointed to head the Mongolian and Tibetan Affairs Commission in April 2016. Lin stated in June, shortly after taking office on 20 May 2016, that she preferred handing over the MTAC's functions to other government agencies. In February 2017, she replaced Kuo Fang-yu as minister of labor. On 22 February 2018, she tendered her resignation from the ministry, citing health reasons. Pan Shih-wei (; born 27 July 1955) is a Taiwanese politician. He was the Minister of the Council of Labor Affairs from 28 September 2012 and subsequently the Minister of Labor from 17 February 2014 until his resignation on 24 July 2014. Education Pan obtained his bachelor's degree in political science from Tunghai University and master's degree in labor studies from Chinese Culture University. He continued his graduate study in the United States, obtaining master's and doctoral degrees in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University. National Chengchi University () is a public research university in Taipei. The university is also considered as the earliest public service training facility of the Republic of China. First established in Nanjing in 1927, the university was subsequently relocated to Taipei in 1954. It is considered to be one of the most prestigious and prominent universities in Taiwan.
