Kumasi High School
Kumasi High School, often referred to as KUHIS, is a category A boys' senior high school in the Ashanti region of Ghana. It was established in 1962, by S. K. Amoah. The school is regarded as one of the best senior high schools in Ghana and the best business school in Ghana. They are the reigning champions of the inter-schools soccer competition in Ashanti Region, the current champions of Luvfm high school debate beating rivals Prempeh College in the finals. They are also the maiden champions of the USA ambassador business quiz and the 1st runners-up in Ashanti Regional Science and Maths quiz. They have produced a number of alumni. The students are known collectively as Mmerantee(Gentlemen). Ashanti Region
The Ashanti Region is located in southern part of Ghana and it is the third largest of 16 administrative regions, occupying a total land surface of or 10.2 percent of the total land area of Ghana. In terms of population, however, it is the most populated region with a population of 4,780,380 according to the 2011 census, accounting for 19.4% of Ghana's total population. Prempeh College
Prempeh College is a public secondary boarding school for boys located in Kumasi, the capital city of the Ashanti Region, Ghana. The school was founded in 1949 by the Asanteman traditional authority, the British Colonial Government, the Methodist Church Ghana and the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. The School is named after the King of Ashanti, (Asantehene) Sir Osei Tutu Agyeman Prempeh II, who donated the land on which the school was built. and was modeled on Eton College in England. The school topped matriculation at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2004 with 441 students admitted and in 2012, with 296 students from the college admitted, and is considered to be one of the best secondary schools in Ghana.
