Krisztián Balázs
Krisztián Balázs (born 25 March 2002) is a Hungarian artistic gymnast. He participated in the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics and the 2019 Junior World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Career In 2016, he competed in the junior team competition at the 2016 European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships held in Bern, Switzerland. At the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he won the silver medal in the floor exercise and the bronze medal in the horizontal bar. He also won the gold medal in the mixed multi-discipline team event. At the 2019 Junior World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Győr, Hungary, he won the bronze medal in the horizontal bar. A month later, he won the bronze medal in the men's parallel bars event at the 2019 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival held in Baku, Azerbaijan. 2021 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 9th European Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics Individual Championships were held from 21–25 April 2021 at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland. The 2021 European Championships were an Olympic qualifying event, with two individual spots available for both disciplines. Russia earned a non-nominative quota spot in both disciplines, while Turkey's Adem Asil and Romania's Larisa Iordache qualified nominative berths for themselves in men's and women's artistic gymnastics, respectively. The original qualifiers, the 2020 European Men's and 2020 European Women's Championships, were undesignated as such in light of the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe. 2020 European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 34rd European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held from 9 to 13 December 2020 at the Mersin Gymnastics Hall in Mersin, Turkey. The competition was originally scheduled to be held from 27 to 31 May 2020 in Baku, Azerbaijan, but it was rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Baku event was rescheduled for 9 to 13 December, before the event was relocated to Mersin. Originally an Olympic qualifying event, the competition was undesignated as such in light of the ongoing pandemic, so as to avoid pressuring member federations to attend if they were not willing to do so. Only 20 nations opted to send athletes, as the majority of countries withdrew out of concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe. European Gymnastics barred the Polish Gymnastics Federation from sending any athletes due to outstanding financial obligations resulting from their hosting the 2019 edition of the event. The 2018 Summer Youth Olympics ( es, Juegos Olímpicos de la Juventud de 2018), officially known as the III Summer Youth Olympic Games, and commonly known as Buenos Aires 2018, were an international sports, cultural, and educational event held from 6 to 18 October 2018 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They were the first Youth Olympic Games held outside of Eurasia, and the first Summer Games held outside of Asia and the first to be held in the Western and Southern hemispheres.
