2021 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 9th European Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics Individual Championships were held from 21–25 April 2021 at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland. The 2021 European Championships were an Olympic qualifying event, with two individual spots available for both disciplines. Russia earned a non-nominative quota spot in both disciplines, while Turkey's Adem Asil and Romania's Larisa Iordache qualified nominative berths for themselves in men's and women's artistic gymnastics, respectively. The original qualifiers, the 2020 European Men's and 2020 European Women's Championships, were undesignated as such in light of the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe. Several members of the German women's team chose to compete in full body leotards – a move that, while always allowed, has been considered risky and/or controversial in the past – to make the gymnasts more comfortable while competing, as well as address and deter sexualization of the sport. David Sagitovich Belyavskiy ( rus, Давид Сагитович Белявский, , dɐˈvʲid bʲɪˈlʲafskʲɪɪ̯; born 23 February 1992) is a Russian artistic gymnast and three-time Olympian, representing Russia in 2012 and 2016 and ROC in 2020. Lukas Dauser
Lukas Dauser (born 15 June 1993) is a German male artistic gymnast and a two-time Olympian, having competed at the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games. He is the 2020 Olympic and 2022 World silver medalist on the parallel bars. Career Dauser became a member of the first German gymnastics league at the age of 19. He formerly trained in Berlin, although he represented two gymnastics clubs – TSV Unterhaching and KTV Straubenhardt from Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. Ferhat Arıcan (born 28 July 1993) is a Turkish male artistic gymnast. He represented Turkey at the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games. Joe Fraser (gymnast)
Joe Fraser (born 6 December 1998) is an English artistic gymnast. He is the 2022 European all-around and parallel bars champion and the 2019 world champion on the parallel bars, the first British gymnast to ever win gold in any of these events.
