Kristoffer Broberg
Kristoffer Per Thomas Broberg (born 1 August 1986) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Professional career Broberg started his professional career in 2010, winning twice on the Swedish mini tour. The following two years he won four events on the Nordic Golf League. He qualified to play on the Challenge Tour in 2012. He won the second event he played in, the Finnish Challenge on 5 August. He won again the next week at the Norwegian Challenge. Broberg won for a third time that month at the Rolex Trophy to earn an instant promotion to the European Tour; he was the fastest player ever to achieve this having played just five events in the season. The victories helped Broberg shoot up the Official World Golf Ranking from 1,109th to 173rd, and he ended the year ranked 79th after finishing runner-up at the Alfred Dunhill Championship. Open De France
The Open de France is a European Tour golf tournament. Inaugurated in 1906 it is the oldest national open in Continental Europe and has been part of the European Tour's schedule since the tour's inception in 1972. The 100th edition of the event was held in 2016. The 2022 edition will take place between 22 and 25 September on the Golf National course. There will be €3 million of prize fund. Last edition played was the 2019 tournament, won by Nicolas Colsaerts. Originally played at La Boulie, the tournament has been hosted by many different venues, but since 1991, it has been held at the Le Golf National near Paris every year except for 1999 and 2001. The BMW Masters was a golf tournament played annually at Lake Malaren Golf Club, in Luodian, Shanghai, China. The tournament began in 2011 and became a European Tour event in 2012. Simon Wakefield
Simon Wakefield (born 14 April 1974) is an English professional golfer. Biography Wakefield was born in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire and is the nephew of former England cricketer Bob Taylor. He won the 1996 Tillman Trophy in addition to several county amateur championships before turning professional in 1997. Early in his career, Wakefield played predominantly on the second tier Challenge Tour before winning a place on the European Tour via qualifying school at the end of 1999. He failed to retain his tour card during his rookie season and dropped back to the Challenge Tour for 2001. He won his first professional tournament in 2002 at the Tessali Open del Sud, and went on to finish 9th on the Challenge Tour Rankings to graduate back to the European Tour for 2003. Sihwan Kim (born December 4, 1988) is an American professional golfer. He plays on the European Tour and the Asian Tour, where he has won two titles. He also plays in the LIV Golf League. Amateur career Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea, and moved with his parents to California at a young age. He graduated from Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, California where he was captain of the golf team. In 2004, he won the U.S. Junior Amateur at The Olympic Club, 1 up, over David Chung. Álvaro Velasco (golfer)
Álvaro Velasco Roca (born 15 May 1981) is a Spanish professional golfer. Velasco was born in Barcelona and attended Coastal Carolina University on a golf scholarship where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration. He turned professional in 2005 and worked his way through the ranks graduating to the top level European Tour in 2008. Velasco finished 100th on the Order of Merit in 2008, but fell back to the second tier Challenge Tour in 2010 having finished 189th in the Race to Dubai rankings in 2009. Wil Besseling
Wil Besseling (born 9 December 1985) is a Dutch professional golfer. Besseling was born in Utrecht. He won the Dutch Amateur Match Play Championship in 2001, just two years after taking up the sport. The highlight of his amateur career came in 2006, when he won the Eisenhower Trophy in partnership with Joost Luiten and Tim Sluiter, and also finished with the lowest individual score. After turning professional at the end of 2006, Besseling played on the EPD Tour, one of the developmental golf tours based in Europe, during 2007. He finished 5th on the 2007 Order of Merit, having been in the top 20 in all but two events, with seven top tens and one victory. Matthias Schmid (born 18 November 1997) is a German professional golfer. He won the European Amateur in both 2019 and 2020 and was the leading amateur at the 2021 Open Championship. Amateur career Schmid competed for the Louisville Cardinals from 2017 to 2021, winning the Old Town Club Collegiate in 2018. Schmid won the European Amateur in both 2019 and 2020. The 2019 event was held at the Diamond Country Club in Austria. Schmid led after a third-round 63 and won by three strokes from Euan Walker. The 2021 European Tour was the 50th season of golf tournaments since the European Tour officially began in 1972 and the 13th and final edition of the Race to Dubai. The 2015 European Tour is the seventh edition of the Race to Dubai and the 44th season of golf tournaments since the European Tour officially began in 1972.
