The 2011 Nordic Golf League was the 13th season of the Nordic Golf League, a third-tier tour recognised by the European Tour. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 2011 season. Order of Merit The Order of Merit was based on tournament results during the season, calculated using a points-based system. The top five players on the Order of Merit (not otherwise exempt) earned status to play on the 2012 Challenge Tour. Jens Dantorp
Jens Morgan Dantorp (born 28 April 1989) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and the Challenge Tour. He has won three times on the Challenge Tour. Professional career Dantorp turned professional in 2008 and played on the Nordic Golf League, winning eight times between 2008 and 2012. He won four tournaments in 2011 and topped the Order of Merit. Dantorp played on the Challenge Tour in 2012 and 2013, picking up his first win in August 2013 at the Rolex Trophy. At the end of 2013 he qualified for the main tour in 2014. 2014 was a disappointing season and he returned to the Challenge Tour in 2015. Dantorp finished runner-up in the 2015 Kärnten Golf Open and finished 24th in the Challenge Tour Order of Merit. He also tied for 3rd place in the 2015 Nordea Masters on the European Tour, one of only two appearances he made on the tour during the season. Mattias Eliasson
Mattias Daniel Eliasson (born 2 April 1975) is a Swedish professional golfer. Career Eliasson turned professional in 1997. He played on the second-tier Challenge Tour from 1998 to 2004, with three runners-up finishes, in 1998, 1999, and 2004. During this period he also was successful at qualifying school on three occasions, allowing him to play limited events on the main European Tour in 2000, 2002, and 2003. In 2004 Eliasson finished in eleventh place on the Challenge Tour rankings, which gave him full promotion to the European Tour. He went on to play at that level for three seasons, from 2005 to 2007. He then suffered a slump in form, however, and has played only sporadically on either tour since 2008. Nonetheless, he has recorded three wins on the third-tier Nordic League in that time. The Gevalia Open was a golf tournament held at Gävle Golf Club in Gävle, Sweden from 1978. It featured on the Swedish Golf Tour from its inception in 1984 and on the Challenge Tour in 1990 and 1991. The Swedish Match Play Championship is a golf tournament played since 1904, held for both men and women. It is the oldest and most traditional golf tournament in Sweden. The name SM is shortening in Swedish language for "Svenska Mästerskapet" (the Swedish Championship). Toni Karjalainen (born 9 July 1979) is a Finnish professional golfer who formerly played on the European Tour and the Challenge Tour. Morten Ørum Madsen (born 9 April 1988) is a Danish professional golfer. He played on the European Tour from 2013 to 2016, winning the South African Open Championship in late 2013. Early life and amateur career Madsen was born in Silkeborg. He took up golf at the age of 12, and enjoyed a successful amateur career.
