Kristian Riis
Kristian Dirks Riis (born 17 February 1997) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Danish Superliga club Lyngby Boldklub. Club career Early career Riis started career at the local club Haderslev FK. Later, he joined SønderjyskE, playing there until 2011, before joining FC Midtjylland at the age of 15 in 2011. He started playing for their U17 team, was later promoted to the U19 team later, and finally to the first team squad in 2016. Midtjylland Riis was promoted to the first team squad in the summer 2016 at the age of 19, signing a five-year professional contract on 14 June 2016. Riis made his official debut for Midtjylland at the age of 19 on 31 July 2016, in a Danish Superliga match against Silkeborg IF. Riis played the whole match, which his club won 3–0. 2018–19 Danish Cup
The 2018–19 Danish Cup, also known as Sydbank Pokalen, was the 65th season of the Danish Cup competition. The winners of the tournament, Midtjylland, earned qualification into the third qualifying round of the 2019–20 UEFA Europa League. Structure 88 teams, representing all levels of competition, participated in the 44 first-round matches. Eight more teams from the two highest divisions entered round two while the remaining six teams from the 2018-19 Danish Superliga joined the competition in the third round. The 2017–18 Danish 1st Division season was the 22nd season of the Danish 1st Division league championship, governed by the Danish Football Association. The division-champion, the runners-up and the third placed team are promoted to the 2018–19 Danish Superliga. The teams in 11th and 12th places are relegated to the 2018–19 Danish 2nd Divisions. Participants Esbjerg fB finished last in the 2016–17 Danish Superliga relegation play-off and were relegated to the 1st Division for the first time since the 2010-11 season. The 2016–17 Danish Superliga season was the 27th season of the Danish Superliga, which decides the Danish football championship. The season was the first with a new league structure in which 14 clubs play each other home and away, until the league was split up in championship and relegation play-offs.
