2017–18 Danish 1st Division
The 2017–18 Danish 1st Division (known as the NordicBet Liga for sponsorship purposes) marked the 22nd season of the league operating as the second tier of Danish football and the 78th season overall under the 1st Division name. The league is governed by the Danish Football Association (DBU). The division-champion, the runners-up and the third placed team are promoted to the 2018–19 Danish Superliga. The teams in 11th and 12th places are relegated to the 2018–19 Danish 2nd Divisions. Participants Esbjerg fB finished last in the 2016–17 Danish Superliga relegation play-off and were relegated to the 1st Division for the first time since the 2010-11 season. Viborg FF lost to FC Helsingør in the relegation play off and were relegated after two seasons in the first tier as well. Hobro IK and FC Helsingør were promoted to the 2017–18 Danish Superliga. Vejle Boldklub
Vejle Boldklub is a Danish professional football club based in Vejle in Jutland. Formed in 1891, the club is one of the most successful clubs in Danish football history, having won the Danish championship five times and the Danish cup title six times. The 2018–19 Danish 2nd Divisions was divided in two groups of twelve teams in the autumn of 2018. In the spring of 2019 there was a promotion play-off and a relegation play-off. The top two teams of the promotion play-off group were promoted to the 2019–20 Danish 1st Division. Participants Group 1 League table Group 2 League table Promotion Group The top 6 teams from each group will compete for 2 spots in the 2019–20 Danish 1st Division. The 2009–10 Danish 1st Division season was the 14th season of the Danish 1st Division league championship, governed by the Danish Football Association. The division-champion, AC Horsens, and runners-up, Lyngby BK, were promoted to the 2010–11 Danish Superliga. The teams in the 14th, 15th and 16th places, Thisted FC, BK Frem and Brabrand IF, were relegated to either 2nd Division East or West, based on their respective locations. Næstved Boldklub is a Danish association football team based in Næstved in the South of Zealand. Næstved Boldklub is the professional superstructure of the parent club Næstved Idræts Forening (Næstved IF) and currently plays in the Danish 2nd Division, the third tier of Danish football league system.
