2016–17 Danish 2nd Divisions
The 2016–17 Danish 2nd Divisions was divided in three groups of eight teams in the autumn. In spring there was a promotion play-off and a relegation play-off. The top two teams of the promotion play-off group were promoted to the 2017–18 Danish 1st Division. IK Skovbakken merged with Vejlby IK as of 1 July 2016 to form VSK Aarhus. FC Sydvest 05
Fodbold Club Sydvest 05 (), or simply Sydvest 05, is a Danish football club based in Tønder Municipality. The club is a merger established in Southwestern Sønderjylland in 2005 between Løgum IF Fodbold, Bredebro IF, Ballum IF and Tønder SF Fodbold. Therefore, the club is an affiliation between the neighbouring towns of Ballum, Bredebro, Løgumkloster and Tønder, who also share, since 2012, an under-19 and under-17 team besides the first team. The senior side is based in Tønder and Løgumkloster, and play the vast majority of their home games at Tønder Stadion and Løgumkloster Stadion which can hold a total of 1,200 spectators. Upon the establishment of the club in 2005, the first team competed in Serie 2, the seventh tier division of Danish football, from which it promoted during the first year of existence. 2014–15 Danish 2nd Divisions
The 2014–15 Danish 2nd Divisions will be the divided in two groups of sixteen teams. The two group winners will be promoted to the 2015–16 Danish 1st Division. Following the season the league will be reduced from 32 to 24 participants. This means that 11 teams will be relegated. Because of an uneven distribution of West and East-teams (divided by the Great Belt), one East-team, Næstved BK, volunteered to join the West-division. Nordvest FC will from this season be competing under the club's original name Holbæk B&I. Vejgaard Boldspilklub is an association football club based in Vejgaard, a suburb of Aalborg, Denmark, that competes in the Denmark Series, the fifth tier of the Danish football league system. Kolding IF is an association football club based in Kolding, Denmark. The team competes in the Danish 2nd Division, the third tier of Danish football, after suffering relegation at the end of the 2020–21 season. Founded in 1895, Kolding IF played in the top-flight 1982 and 1983 Danish 1st Division championships. Holbæk Bold- & Idrætsforening is a Danish football club currently playing in 2. Division East. They play at Holbæk Stadion in Holbæk on Zealand, which has a capacity of 10,500. From 2008 to 2014 their first team played under the name Nordvest FC. History The club was founded in 1931 by the merging of Holbæk Idrætsforening and Holbæk Boldklub, after a period where Holbæk Idrætsforening had some success in regional championships. The quality of the team had declined, however, since the year 1924 where some members broke out to found Holbæk Boldklub. The reason among others for that move being that cricket was still a part of the club's activities.
