Thisted Fodbold Club () is an association football club based in the town of Thisted, North Jutland, Denmark, that competes in the Danish 2nd Division, the third tier of the Danish football league system. Founded in 1989, it is shortly known as 'TFC' and affiliated to the DBU Jutland, the regional body of football in Jutland. The team plays its home matches at Sparekassen Thy Arena, formerly known as 'Lerpytter Stadion', where it has been based since its foundation in 1989. Former footballer Jesper Grønkjær, who played for Chelsea and Atlético Madrid, amongst others, began his career in the Thisted FC youth academy. Tobias Damsgaard (born 3 August 1998) is a Danish footballer who plays for Thisted FC. Career Club career Born in Aarhus, Damsgaard began playing youth football for Aarhus Fremad before playing a year for SønderjyskE while attending efterskole. At under-17 level, he joined the Randers FC youth sector. On transfer deadline day, 31 January 2020, Damsgaard was loaned out to Vendsyssel FF for the rest of the season. Christian Hørby (born 17 March 2001) is a Danish professional footballer, who plays as a midfielder for Thisted FC. Club career Hobro IK In the summer 2019, Hørby left Randers FC and went on a trial at Hobro IK and played in a game for the clubs reserve team, which earned him a spot on the Hobro's U19 squad. Mikkel Agger (born 1 November 1992) is a Danish professional footballer who plays for Danish 2nd Division club Thisted FC. Club career Thisted Coming through the youth ranks of Thisted FC playing in the Danish 1st Division, he signed a professional contract with the club on his birthday in 2009. Following some impressive displays for Thisted in the 2010–11 season, he went on trials with Danish Superliga clubs AaB and Esbjerg fB. Jesper Grønkjær (; born 12 August 1977) is a Danish former professional footballer. A pacey winger, Grønkjær played primarily on the right or left wing, or as a second striker. He played a total 400 league games for a number of European clubs, most notably winning the 1999 Dutch Cup with Ajax Amsterdam and playing more than 100 games for English club Chelsea.
