Yuselmi Kristal Silva Dávila (born 26 December 1991) is a Mexican beauty pageant titleholder who won the Nuestra Belleza México 2016 pageant and represented Mexico at Miss Universe 2016 where she placed top 9. Personal life and education Silva graduated with honors and earned her degree in administration in 2016. Pageantry Prior to competing in the 65th edition of Miss Universe, Silva took part in Miss Earth 2013, where she placed as one of the top 8 finalists, representing Mexico. Miss Earth México is an annual beauty pageant in Mexico. The winner of Miss Earth Mexico obtains the right to represent the country in the Miss Earth pageant, the third most important beauty festival in the world, where the goal is to promote environmental protection. Nuestra Belleza México 2016
Nuestra Belleza México 2016, the 22nd annual Nuestra Belleza México pageant held at Foro 2 of Televisa San Angel in Mexico City on January 31, 2016. Twenty-nine contestants from Mexico competed for the national title, which was won by Kristal Silva from Tamaulipas who also competed in Miss Universe 2016. Silva was crowned by the outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Wendolly Esparza. She is the third person from Tamaulipas to win the title. After three consecutive years, the final show of "Nuestra Belleza Mundo México" not was held. Rumors said that this was due to financing issues involving the renewal of the franchise. Miss Universe 2016 was the 65th Miss Universe pageant, held at the Mall of Asia Arena, in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines on January 30, 2017. This is the second time in the history of the competition that the pageant skipped an entire year, following the 2014 pageant which was held in January 2015.
