Kobazzie
Korte Dorbor Bazzie (born November 29, 1989), who is known professionally as Kobazzie, is a Liberian singer and songwriter from Voinjama, Lofa County. He was inspired to pursue a career in music after hearing Quincy B's collaborative single with Tan Tan B, titled "State of Emergency". He is the recipient of several accolades, including New Artist of the Year at the 2016 Liberia Music Awards and Afropop Artist of the Year at the 2019 Tunes Liberia Music Awards. Early life and career Korte Dorbor Bazzie was born on November 29, 1989, in Voinjama, Lofa County. He relocated to Monrovia to further his education and graduated from St. Michael Catholic School. He studied accounting and business management at Cuttington University and graduated in 2017. Prior to pursuing a career in music, he worked as an accountant. Quincy B
Quincy Luwokollie Borrowes (April 24, 1993 – March 3, 2017), known professionally as Quincy B, was a Liberian singer, songwriter and record producer. He gained recognition in 2013 after releasing his debut single "My Dream", which features rapper Scientific. In 2014, Quincy B released the Tan Tan B-assisted track "State of Emergency", which promotes awareness of the Ebola virus epidemic in Liberia. His music explored hipco, R&B, and afropop. He primarily sung in Kolokwa English and took pride in being Liberian. On March 3, 2017, Quincy B died in a car accident. His posthumous album, ''Mr. All the Time'', was issued by ALM Records and released on March 11, 2017. It comprises thirteen tracks and consists entirely of previously released singles. Franklin Edward Harris, who is known professionally as Kpanto (previously Skinnyboi Kpanto), is a Liberian rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He started his music career in 2014 and gained recognition in 2015 after releasing a cover of Desiigner's single " Panda". His eponymous debut studio album, ''Skinny Boy Kpanto'', was released on August 22, 2020. It comprises nine tracks and contains the songs "Take off Trouser", which was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2020 Liberia Music Awards, and "Flukor", which won Song of the Year at the 2021 Tunes Liberia Music Awards. Afrobeats (not to be confused with Afrobeat or Afroswing), or Afro-pop or Afro-fusion (or Afropop or Afrofusion), is an umbrella term to describe popular music from West Africa and the diaspora that initially developed in Nigeria, Ghana, and the UK in the 2000s and 2010s. Afrobeats is less of a style per se, and more of a descriptor for the fusion of sounds flowing out of Ghana and Nigeria. Karwoudou Cole (born April 30), better known by his stage name Bucky Raw, is a Liberian rapper and songwriter from Monrovia. He rose to fame after appearing in a cypher at the 2016 Liberian Entertainment Awards. Raw has released two mixtapes: 2017's ''Country Soda'' and 2018's ''Cs2''. Early Life and Music career Raw was born on April 30, 1984, in Monrovia, Liberia. He moved to the United States when he was 9 years old. Katie Ann Meyler (born 1982) is an American activist who is the founder of the More Than Me Foundation, an organization that works to educate young women in Liberia in the midst of the West African Ebola virus epidemic. She has been recognized as one of the Ebola fighters chosen as the 2014 ''Time'' Person of the Year and won at the 2015 Shorty Awards for Best Activist.
