Klobuk, Ljubuški
Klobuk is a picturesque and scenic village in the municipality of Ljubuški, Bosnia and Herzegovina, located on the western outskirts of the municipality. It partially lays alongside a section of the regional road M-6 (Grude - Ljubuški - Čapljina - Metković), with road connections to the famous Marian pilgrimage in Medjugorje and the nearest border crossing with Croatia that's some 5 km away. Klobuk has got its name from the Klobuk hill (468m), that's central to the place, whose specific shape resembles a type of hat. Petar Barbarić
Petar Barbarić (19 May 1874 – 15 April 1897) was a Roman Catholic novice from Šiljevišta, near Ljubuški, Bosnia Vilayet (modern Bosnia and Herzegovina, who was in the midst of his studies for the priesthood before he died of tuberculosis. He made his solemn profession as a Jesuit prior to his death upon the realization of his condition. Barbarić was known for his devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ and for his charismatic nature among his peers. On 18 March 2015 he was proclaimed to be Venerable after Pope Francis acknowledged the fact that Barbarić had lived a life of heroic virtue. Leo Petrović
Leo Petrović (28 February 188314 February 1945) was a Herzegovinian Croat Franciscan and historian. Petrović, a native of Klobuk, Ljubuški, entered the Franciscan Province of Herzegovina in 1900, and was ordained a priest in 1905. He held various monastic and ecclesiastical positions, including being a general vicar of the Diocese of Mostar-Duvno in 1943 and a Provincial of the Franciscan Province of Herzegovina from 1943 until 1945, when he was murdered by the communist Yugoslav Partisans. During World War II, Petrović helped Serbs, Jews and political dissidents, including the Yugoslav Partisans. The first historian to rebuke the Bogomilist theory about the Bosnian Church, he promoted a thesis about the Bosnian Church having origins in the Catholic Benedictine monastic order, and that it used native language and observed the Roman Rite. The Croatian State Government ( hr, Hrvatska državna vlada) was the government of the Independent State of Croatia from 16 April 1941 until 8 May 1945.
