Kjeld Tolstrup
Kjeld Tolstrup (27 June 1965 – 21 March 2011) was a Danish radio DJ. Career Kjeld Tolstrup became one of the biggest names in Danish DJ circles in the 1980s performing at The Hacienda in Manchester, Ministry of Sound in London, ''Sensation'' event in Copenhagen, and a big number of clubs. Kjeld Tolstrup also remixed for many artists including C.V. Jørgensen, Love Shop Love Shop is a Danish pop rock band. The band was formed in 1986 by vocalist/songwriter Jens Unmack and guitarist/producer Hilmer Hassig, later joined by harmonicist Henrik Hall. They found great success in Denmark with their debut album ''1990' ..., Cut 'N' Move and Infernal. Death Kjeld Tolstrup died on 21 March 2011, at the age of 45, after a prolonged illness and hospitalization. In 2000 he had been hospitalized for three weeks because of a congenital heart defect. Disc Jockey
A disc jockey, more commonly abbreviated as DJ, is a person who plays recorded music for an audience. Types of DJs include Radio personality, radio DJs (who host programs on music radio stations), club DJs (who work at a nightclub or music festival), mobile DJs (who are hired to work at public and private events such as weddings, parties, or festivals), and turntablism, turntablists (who use record players, usually turntables, to manipulate sounds on phonograph records). Sensation (event)
Sensation is an indoor electronic dance music event which originated in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and organized by ID&T. The original event, which ran exclusively in the Amsterdam Arena for a period of five years until 2005, is now located throughout various European and a few non-European countries. History In 2000 and 2001 there were single events simply known as Sensation. Later Sensation was expanded into two annual events known as Sensation Black and Sensation White. This was done to differentiate the music and feeling more than would have been possible if it were one event. A remix (or reorchestration) is a piece of media which has been altered or contorted from its original state by adding, removing, or changing pieces of the item. A song, piece of artwork, book, video, poem, or photograph can all be remixes. The only characteristic of a remix is that it appropriates and changes other materials to create something new. Love Shop
Love Shop is a Danish pop rock band. The band was formed in 1986 by vocalist/songwriter Jens Unmack and guitarist/producer Hilmer Hassig, later joined by harmonicist Henrik Hall. They found great success in Denmark with their debut album ''1990'', which went on to win the Danish Grammy for Pop Album of the Year, and are well known for songs such as "En nat bliver det sommer", "Love Goes On Forever" and "Copenhagen Dreaming". The 1997 album ''Go!'' is widely considered their ''magnum opus''. In 2004, the band announced an indefinite hiatus after struggling with internal disputes. Hilmer Hassig was killed in a traffic accident in 2008, and after performing two tribute concerts in his honour, the remaining band members reunited, releasing the critically acclaimed comeback album ''Frelsens hær'' in 2010. Cut 'N' Move
Cut 'N' Move were a Danish dance/ hip hop group from Århus. Career 1989-1992: Origins and debut album The group was founded in 1989 by keyboard player Per Holm, disc jockey Jørn K (Jørn Kristensen), and rapper MC Zipp (Jens Kjær Larsen). In December 1990 singer Thera Hoeymans joined the group. Their debut single "Take No Crap" featured vocals by Danish singer Christine Christiansen and was released in 1990. The following year the single was released internationally as "Get Serious". The song became a moderate hit on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and a top 10 hit on the dance chart. Their debut album, ''Get Serious'', was released on Epic Records in 1991 and was a moderate success in dance clubs in Europe. Infernal (Danish Band)
Infernal (occasionally stylized with metal umlaut as Infërnal) is a dance-pop group from Denmark, consisting of members Lina Rafn and Paw Lagermann. They made their Danish debut in 1997 with the release of the track "Sorti de L'enfer", and went on to international chart success in the 2000s. Their most successful single to date has been "From Paris to Berlin", which charted well in many European countries throughout 2006 and 2007. In addition to the original single, an alternate version was released in the UK titled "From London to Berlin", supporting England in the 2006 Football World Cup.
