Kiss FM is a narrowcast dance music station based in Melbourne. Broadcasting on various frequencies between 87.6 and 88.0 FM in Melbourne. The station's programs are also networked to Orbit FM, a local narrowcaster in Cairns, Queensland. History The station grew out of aspirant community license Kiss 90 FM, which lost out for a full-time license in 2001, and Sydney and Brisbane narrowcaster Rhythm FM. The KIIS Network is an Australian commercial radio stations owned and operated by the ARN. Formerly branded as the Mix Network, the network was rebranded as the KIIS Network in 2015 following the relaunch of KIIS 101.1 Melbourne. The KIIS Network is named after KIIS-FM, a Los Angeles-based radio station broadcast on the 102.7 MHz FM band. The Sidney Myer Music Bowl is an outdoor bandshell performance venue in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is located in the lawns and gardens of Kings Domain on Linlithgow Avenue close to the Arts Centre and the Southbank entertainment precinct. It was officially opened by the Prime Minister of Australia, Robert Menzies, on 12 February 1959, with an audience of 30,000 people. It is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register. Hardstyle is an electronic dance genre that emerged in the late 1990s, with origins in the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy. Hardstyle mixes influences from techno, new beat and hardcore. Early hardstyle was typically written at 140 BPM (''beats per minute''), however modern hardstyle is faster, produced around 150 BPM.
