King Tower
King Tower () is a skyscraper in Shanghai, China. It is 212 m tall, has 38 stories and was completed in 1996. The tower was the tallest in China until Shun Hing Square in Shenzhen was built later in the same year. It was the tallest building in Shanghai until the Jin Mao Tower's completion in 1998. Pudong
Pudong is a district of Shanghai located east of the Huangpu, the river which flows through central Shanghai. The name ''Pudong'' was originally applied to the Huangpu's east bank, directly across from the west bank or Puxi, the historic city center. It now refers to the broader Pudong New Area, a state-level new area which extends all the way to the East China Sea. Ho Tao (; 17 July 1936 – 29 March 2019) was a Hong Kong architect born in Shanghai. He was the designer of the Bauhinia emblem, and also of the flag of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Background Born in Shanghai in 1936 to Ping Yin Ho & Chin Hwa, Ho grew up with elder brother Chien and younger sister Diana. He graduated from Pui Ching Middle School and went on to receive a BA in art history with a minor in music and theology at Williams College in Massachusetts.
