Kimberly Phillips
Kimberly Phillips is a writer, educator and curator in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She is Director of SFU Galleries at Simon Fraser University. Career Phillips holds a Ph.D. in Art History, Visual Art & Theory from the University of British Columbia. She has taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels, often teaching curatorial practice and the history of modern and contemporary visual art at Emily Carr University of Art + Design (ECUAD) and the University of British Columbia (UBC) . Fillip
Fillip is a Vancouver-based contemporary art publishing organization formed in 2004. It publishes a magazine as well as books of critical writing. The magazine with the same name was started in 2005. The publisher of the magazine is the Projectile Publishing Society, a Canadian non-profit. In 2008 it opened an office on the border between Gastown and the Downtown Eastside from which it hosts month events including artist talks, publication launches, and screenings. Heide Hinrichs
Heide Hinrichs is a German artist living and working out of Brussels, Belgium. Hinrichs works mainly in installation and sculpture manipulating everyday objects and found materials to symbolize emotion, mental states and gestures of the body in a post-minimalist style.As much Hinrichs' intuitive conceptual oeuvre addresses questions of movement, location and nomadism. Kathleen Ritter
Kathleen Ritter is an artist, curator, and writer based in Vancouver and Paris who focuses on contemporary art. In her works she is focused on exploring themes of "visibility, especially in relation to systems of power, language and technology,". Career Ritter graduated from the Emily Carr University of Art + Design with a BFA in 2000 and obtained an MFA from the University of Western Ontario in 2005. The Vancouver Art Gallery (VAG) is an art museum in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The museum occupies a adjacent to Robson Square in downtown Vancouver, making it the largest art museum in Western Canada by building size. Designed by Francis Rattenbury, the building the museum presently occupies was originally opened as a provincial courthouse, before it was re-purposed for museum use in the early 1980s. The Contemporary Art Gallery (CAG) is a non-profit public contemporary art gallery in downtown Vancouver. Althea Thauberger is a Canadian visual artist, film maker and educator.
