Kimberly-Ann Collins
Kimberly-Ann Collins (born 1992) is an American politician serving as a member of the Missouri House of Representatives from the 77th district. Elected in November 2020, she assumed office on January 6, 2021. Early life and education Collins was born and raised in St. Louis. Collins’s brother, John Collins Muhammad is a St. Louis Alderman for District 21. Her mother is Dr. LaTonia Smith, President of Harris-Stowe State College. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in public health science, with a minor in chemistry, from the University of Missouri–Kansas City. Career Prior to entering politics, Collins worked for PotBangerz, a non-profit community justice organization, RedBike, and City Hope STL. She was elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in November 2020 and assumed office on January 6, 2021. Harris–Stowe State University is a historically black public university in St. Louis, Missouri. The university offers 50 majors, minors, and certificate programs in education, business, and arts & sciences. It is a member-school of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. It is immediately east of the Saint Louis University campus. The school enrolled 1,630 students in 2019. John Collins-Muhammad
John Collins-Muhammad, Jr. (born 1991), is an American activist and politician from the state of Missouri. He served on the Board of Alderman of the City of St. Louis representing the 21st Ward where he represented portions of North City. Collins-Muhammad was elected to his first term in April 2017 at the age of 25, which makes him the youngest person ever to be elected and the first Muslim ever elected to the St. Louis Board of Alderman. He was re-elected in April 2021 garnishing nearly 60% of the vote in his ward. He resigned in May 2022 after pleading guilty to federal corruption and bribery charges.
