Kim Bong-jin (businessman)
Kim Bong-jin (Hangul: 김봉진; Hanja: 金奉珍; born 18 July 1990 in Seoul) is a South Korean footballer. He is a versatile midfielder and can play as defensive midfielder or central midfielder. On 7 February 2017, Kim Bong-Jin scored the equalizer for Kitchee against Ulsan Hyundai in the 2017 AFC Champions League qualifying play-off. In December 2018, Kitchee announced that they will be loaning Bong-Jin to Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC. At the end of the 2019 V.League 1, Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC terminated its contract with Bong Jin. Kim Bong-Jin joined Petaling Jaya City FC of the Malaysian Super League for the 2020 season, after visiting Malaysia on vacation. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. 2017 AFC Champions League Qualifying Play-off
The 2017 AFC Champions League qualifying play-offs were played from 24 January to 8 February 2017. A total of 23 teams competed in the qualifying play-offs to decide eight of the 32 places in the group stage of the 2017 AFC Champions League. Teams The following 23 teams, split into two regions (West Region and East Region), entered the qualifying play-offs, consisting of three rounds: *2 teams entered in the preliminary round 1. *11 teams entered in the preliminary round 2. *10 teams entered in the play-off round. Format In the qualifying play-offs, each tie was played as a single match. Extra time and penalty shoot-out were used to decide the winner if necessary (Regulations Article 9.2).
