Kiambu is a town in Kiambu County, Kenya within the Nairobi Metropolitan Region. It is from the capital Nairobi. It has an population of 147,870. It is the capital of the Kiambu County, which bounds the northern border of Nairobi. Other proximate towns are Ruiru (east of Kiambu), Gatundu (NE), Limuru (NW) and Kabete (SW). Kiambu County
Kiambu County is a county in the former Central Province of Kenya. Its capital is Kiambu and its largest town is Thika. Kiambu County is the second most populous after Nairobi County. Kiambu County borders Nairobi and Kajiado Counties to the South, Machakos to the East, Murang'a to the North and North East, Nyandarua to the North West, and Nakuru to the West and has a population of 2,417,735. The county is 40% rural and 60% urban owing to Nairobi's consistent growth Northwards. The Kikuyu are the dominant tribe in the county. Ruiru
Ruiru is a municipality and sub-county in Kiambu County. It sits within the greater Nairobi Metropolitan region. Gatundu
Gatundu is a small town in Kiambu County of Kenya. It is known for the first Kenyan president Jomo Kenyatta who lived about three kilometres away from the town, as well as his son, Uhuru Kenyatta, now the 4th President of Kenya and former Member of Parliament representing Gatundu South Constituency. The town is located on a hill surrounded by many farms and residences. Demographics Gatundu has an approximate population of 20,000 people who reside and work within and near the town. Ndumberi
Ndumberi is a municipality division in Central Province, Kenya. It is located at an elevation of about 1,820 m. The surrounding catchment has a population of about 18,000. It is located 3 km NW of Kiambu, the capital of the Kiambu County. Ndumberi is the home to some of the prominent leaders in the country Kenya including Githu Muigai, renowned gospel artists the likes of Shiru wa GP, Betty bio among others. Limuru
Limuru is a town in central Kenya. It is also the name of a parliamentary constituency and an administrative division. The population of the town, as of 2004, was about 4,800. Kabete
Kabete is a neighbourhood that located along the border of Nairobi and Kiambu counties. It is located less than outside of the capital city of Nairobi. According to the 2009 census, the Kabete area has a population of 140,427. As part of the Nairobi Highlands area, the region's environment remains unpolluted. Kikuyu People
The Kikuyu (also ''Agĩkũyũ/Gĩkũyũ'') are a Bantu ethnic group native to Central Kenya. At a population of 8,148,668 as of 2019, they account for 17.13% of the total population of Kenya, making them Kenya's largest ethnic group. The term ''Kikuyu'' is derived from the Swahili form of the word Gĩkũyũ. is derived from the word mũkũyũ which means sycamore fig (''mũkũyũ'') tree".
