Kevin Krawietz
Kevin Krawietz (born 24 January 1992) is a German professional tennis player who specialises in doubles. He is a two-time Grand Slam champion, having won the French Open doubles title in both 2019 and 2020 alongside compatriot Andreas Mies. The pair were also semifinalists at the 2019 US Open. Krawietz reached the mixed doubles semifinals at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships and 2022 French Open, partnering Květa Peschke and Nicole Melichar-Martinez respectively, and has qualified for the ATP Finals on three occasions. He achieved his career-high doubles ranking of world No. 7 in November 2019, and has won eight doubles titles on the ATP Tour, including two at ATP Tour 500 level. Ena Shibahara and Wesley Koolhof defeated Ulrikke Eikeri and Joran Vliegen in the final, 7–6(7–5), 6–2 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2022 French Open. According to ''The New York Times'', Koolhof and Shibahara had never met before competing in this tournament. Desirae Krawczyk and Joe Salisbury were the defending champions, but Salisbury chose not to defend his title. Tennis at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo was held between 24 July and 1 August 2021 at the Ariake Tennis Park. The tournament featured 191 players in five events: singles and doubles for both men and women and mixed doubles. The hard-court Deco Turf surface at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games was chosen by the Tokyo Organizing Committee. This marked the fifth time that this type of surface was utilized for the Olympic Games. The Davis Cup is the premier international team event in men's tennis. The ATP Finals is the season-ending championship of the ATP Tour. It is the most significant event in the annual ATP calendar after the four majors as it features the top-eight singles players and top-eight doubles teams based on their results throughout the season. The eighth spot is reserved, if needed, for a player or team who won a major in the current year and are ranked from 8th–20th. Nicole Melichar-Martinez (née Melichar; cz, Nicole Melicharová, ) is an American tennis player who specializes in doubles. She has won twelve doubles titles on the WTA Tour and one WTA 125 doubles title as well as two singles and seven doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. In May 2021, she peaked at No. 9 in the doubles rankings. Melichar has won one Grand Slam title, winning the mixed-doubles crown at the 2018 Wimbledon Championships with Austrian partner Alexander Peya. Květoslava Peschke (née Hrdličková; born 9 July 1975) is a Czech retired professional tennis player who was ranked world No. 1 in doubles. She reached a career-high singles ranking of No. 26 in November 2005, winning one WTA singles title in Makarska in 1998, but achieved most of her success in doubles. Peschke claimed her first Grand Slam title at the 2011 Wimbledon Championships, partnering Katarina Srebotnik. The pair also jointly attained the world No. 1 ranking in doubles for the next ten weeks, and were the 2011 WTA Doubles Team of the Year, having previously reached the final at the 2010 French Open. 2021 Davis Cup Finals
The Finals, formerly known as World Group, was the highest level of Davis Cup competition in 2021. It was held on indoor hard courts at three venues in Innsbruck, Austria, Madrid, Spain and Turin, Italy. The 2020 edition was originally scheduled to take place from 23 until 29 November 2020. However, on 26 June 2020, ITF announced that 2020 Finals would take place from 22 until 28 November 2021 due to coronavirus pandemic and be named 2021 Davis Cup Finals.
