Peter Kennaugh
Peter Robert Kennaugh MBE (born 15 June 1989) is a Manx former professional racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2010 and 2019 for and . In 2012 he won the gold medal as part of the Great Britain Team Pursuit team at the 2012 Summer Olympics, becoming the first Manxman in 100 years to win gold. On 5 April 2019, he announced that he was taking an indefinite break from professional cycling to focus on his mental health. Hudson Kennaugh (born 12 January 1981) is a South African professional motorcycle racer. He currently competes in the British National Superstock 1000 championship aboard a BMW S1000RR. He is a former South African Superbike champion, he rode the 2009 British Supersport Championship, for the Linxcel-Seton Tuning Team. His surname is of Manx descent and is pronounced 'Ken-Oh'.(Although, the surname on the Isle of Man is pronounced as 'Kenyk' rather like the word 'cognac' only starting with 'ken' rather than 'con') Early years Born in Natal, South Africa, Kennaugh began racing mini-moto aged 5, winning the Junior South African Motocross championship in 1993. Tim Kennaugh
Timothy Craig Kennaugh (born 28 November 1991) is a Manx cycling coach and former racing cyclist. Biography Born in Douglas, Isle of Man, Tim used to have a strong interest in football but Kennaugh was quick to follow in the footsteps of his older brother Peter Kennaugh, he was selected to ride for the British Talent Team in 2007 before becoming a member of British Cyclings Olympic Development Programme. In 2009, he became one of the youngest riders to ever win the Manx National Road Race Championships. On 14 October 2009 it was confirmed that Kennaugh was to become a member of the Olympic Academy. Kennaugh's riding career was cut short due to chronic thyroid disease. Subsequently he remained with his former team Rapha Condor-JLT as a soigneur.
