Kedar Nath Kashyap
Kedar Nath Kashyap (born 5 November 1974) is an Indian politician and a member of Bharatiya Janata Party. He is current Forest And Climate Change Minister of Chhattisgarh. He served as Cabinet Minister in Government of Chhattisgarh holding School Education, Tribal and Scheduled Caste, Backward Class and Minority Development portfolios. He is fourth time MLA in legislative assembly of Chhattisgarh. He is son of senior BJP Leader Late Baliram Kashyap and younger brother of former MP Dinesh Kashyap. Political career Kashyap was first elected as MLA in 2003 from Bhanpuri constituency and became Minister of State (Independent Charge) in Raman Singh's ministry. Bastar is a district in the state of Chhattisgarh in Central India. Jagdalpur is the district headquarters. Bastar is bounded on the northwest by Narayanpur District, on the north by Kondagaon district, on the east by Nabarangpur and Koraput Districts of Odisha State, on the south and southwest by Dantewada and Sukma. Prem Sai Singh Tekam (born 14 September 1954) is an Indian politician hailing from Chhattisgarh, India. He is presently serves as the Member of the Legislative Assembly from Chhattisgarh's Pratappur assembly constituency, a position he has held since 2018. Tekam is affiliated with the Indian National Congress. He assumed the responsibilities of the Education Minister of Chhattisgarh in 2018 and continued in that capacity until his resignation in July 2023. He also served as the Minister of Scheduled Castes and Tribal Welfare, Minister of Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare, Minister of School Education, and Minister of Co-operation in the Chhattisgarh state government. 2018 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Election
The 2018 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly election was held to elect members to the Legislative Assembly of the Indian State of Chhattisgarh. The election was held in two phases for a total of 90 seats; the first for 18 seats in South Chhattisgarh was held on 12 November 2018, and the second for the remaining 72 were held on 20 November. The INC got a landslide victory winning 68 seats against the ruling BJP's 15 seats, and consequently formed the government after 15 years as opposition party. Incumbent Chief Minister Raman Singh resigned on 11 December, the day of counting and declaration of result, taking the responsibility for the defeat. 2013 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Election
Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly election 2013 was held in two phases on 11 and 19 November in Chhattisgarh state of India. The result was announced on 8 December. Incumbent ruling party BJP and Chief Minister Raman Singh retained the majority in assembly and formed government consequently for the third time. Polls Voter-verified paper audit trail (VVPAT) along with EVMs was used in 1 assembly seat in Chhattisgarh elections. He was a Member of Parliament from Bastar and also a Member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
